Mr. Gannosuke would make his debut under the Hayabusa name on September 16, 1999 at the Fukui City Gym, in another Single Elimination Match. H would manage to eliminate Hayabusa in the match, and eventually lead his team to victory, but Hayabusa would get revenge on September 18, 1999 as he & Kodo Fuyuki would defeat the team of H & Masato Tanaka, after Hayabusa would pin H in the match.

Mr. Gannosuke would take it embarrassing H a step further by being filmed in a porno with a Porno Star Chocoball Mukai, with other Team No Respect members being in the movie as well, but not taking part in any action. Gannosuke would use the Hayabusa name in the porno, to embarrass the name of Hayabusa, while he would finger multiple girls in the movie.

Masashi Honda would take on Eiji Ezaki at Korakuen Hall for the first time under their new names at Korakuen Hall on September 24, 1999, as Hayabusa would team with fellow TNR members Koji Nakagawa & Gedo, as well as announce a mystery partner in Chocoball Mukai, who had filmed the porno with Hayabusa. H's team of Tetsuhiro Kuroda, Flying Kid Ichihara, and Yoshinori Sasaki, would be down a man as Kuroda would not show up at the beginning of the match. This would leave Team No Respect to have a man advantage, and Hayabusa would take advantage by attacking Sena Wakana, the porno valet of Flying Kid Ichihara, and putting her in the dog collar and attack her, before Chocoball would try to make the save for his co-worker. Mukai would get punked by Hayabusa, but finally, Tetsuhiro Kuroda would make his appearance, riding a motorcycle to the ring, eventually with the sides even out, the FMW team would defeat Team No Respect after H would finish Gedo off with the H Edge for the win. Afterwards, H would issue a challenge to Hayabusa, or Masashi Honda for the next Korakuen Hall show. H would request an Anal Explosion match, where the loser would have to have a firecracker setoff on their ass, just like Eiji Ezaki & Masashi Honda had to do after graduating the FMW Dojo. Hayabusa would laugh at H's idea and accept the match for October 29, 1999.

Hayabusa would take on H on October 29, 1999 at Korakuen Hall, in an Anus Exploding Match, the match would start off the show, with the two wrestlers brawling around ringside, including Hayabusa hitting a Praying Powerbomb on H on the outside. Hayabusa would then get H back in the ring where he would handcuff H to the turnbuckle and would set the firecracker on H's ass causing it to explode. The match would be thrown out, but Hayabusa would walk away accomplishing his goal of humiliating H. But then afterwards, Hayabusa would begin to have an identity crisis, not knowing whether or not he was Hayabusa, Mr. Gannosuke or Masashi Honda. This would begin to build and an extremely upset Hayabusa would charge the ring after the match, and begin attacking Shoichi Arai until H would rush to the ring and the two would begin to brawl all over the arena. An extremely upset H would grab a video camera, and smash it against the turnbuckle. The two would brawl into the crowd, as H would body slam FMW announcer J Taro for getting in the way, as the two would would begin throwing the announcing table at one another until wrestlers would have to hold back Hayabusa, and Japanese police would have to hold back H. The feud would have to be finally settled on November 23, 1999 at the Yokohama Arena, the same building, their feud had started back on April 29, 1997.

Mr. Gannosuke would headline the biggest show of his career as Hayabusa on November 23, 1999 at the Yokohama Arena. Coming out to Hayabusa's music, Team No Respect had already taken a huge hit on the show as their leader Kodo Fuyuki had earlier lost to Masato Tanaka, and been kicked out of FMW. Hayabusa would face H with Shawn Michaels as the Special Referee. Hayabusa would show his respect to Shawn Michaels at the beginning of the match, by delivering a dropkick to him in the crotch area to start the match off. H would dropkick Hayabusa, causing him to slide to the outside, which H would combat with somersault flip off the apron to the outside. The would begin brawling around ringside, which Hayabusa would take the match into his advantage, and throw H back into the ring, and deliver a flying dropkick to the outside. Hayabusa would slow it down, by getting H into a leg scissors, and then placing H upside down against the turnbuckle, and bring a chair to smash it against H's midsection. Shawn Michaels trying to bring order to the match, would attempt to get the chair away from Hayabusa, but Hayabusa would instead hit Shawn Michaels in the crotch area again, this time with the chair to get Michaels away from him. An angry Shawn Michaels would then setup for his Sweet Chin Music Superkick and nail Hayabusa with it. Shawn would then try to rip the mask off of Hayabusa, before H would stop him. As H would begin trying to calm down Shawn, Hayabusa would look at both of them, and having enough of the identity crisis, Hayabusa would take off the mask to finally reveal Mr. Gannosuke. Gannosuke would throw the mask at Michaels, and be slapped in the face by H for taking off the Hayabusa mask on his own, something that Eiji Ezaki never did as Hayabusa. Gannosuke would slap back, and the two would exchange chops against one another. Gannosuke would knock H to the ground with a shoulder block, but as Gannosuke charged H, he would be hit with a hurricanrana outside of the ring. With Gannosuke on the outside, H would hit a baseball slide, and then follow up with an Asai Moonsault to the outside. H would begin to bring the old Hayabusa offense into the match, as he would deliver the Hayabusa trademark, double inside the ring quebrada, but would miss on the second one, as Gannosuke would move out of the way, and both wrestlers would knock each other over the top rope. While outside, H would hit a Tiger Driver on the outside to Gannosuke. But as H would bring Gannosuke on to the apron, and attempt a Powerbomb off the apron, Gannosuke would counter, and deliver a Reverse Fire Thunder off the apron to the outside. Gannosuke and Michaels would get in another argument, as Michaels would continue to count H out, despite Gannosuke's yelling at him to stop the count. Gannosuke be force to bring H back in the ring, but as H would attempt to counter, by using the ropes, Michaels would kick H's hand, and Gannosuke would manage to put H in the Nirvana strangle. H would be able to grab the rope, but Gannosuke would not be done, and would attempt his Praying Powerbomb, but it would be countered and turned into a hurricanrana by H. A frustrated H would then use the Falcon Arrow to put Gannosuke away, but again Gannosuke would kick out. H would then attempt the H Edge, but Gannosuke would counter with the Gannosuke Clutch for a two count. H would get up and attempt a Shotei, but again Gannosuke would counter with a Gannosuke Clutch, but still would only get a two count. Gannosuke would then attempt a suplex on H, but H would counter and deliver a Standing Moonsault and nail Gannosuke in the face as both would be laid out. H would get up first and again try to the put match away, and deliver a Shooting Star Press for the two count. H would then hit the H Edge for another count, but would then be met by another Gannosuke clothesline, and be setup for the Fire Thunder, which H would quickly counter, but would have the back of arms grabbed and Gannosuke would hit H with another German Suplex. Gannosuke would then attempt to finish it away with the Fire Thunder, but would still only manage to get a 2 count. Another Powerbomb by Gannosuke would only get two, and as Gannosuke would climb the top rope, he would be met with a kick to the head, and a hurricanrana off the top rope. H would hit a Shotei on Gannosuke, and then deliver another H Edge on Gannosuke. The end would finally be near as H would slam Gannosuke, and then deliver a Phoenix Splash, with H's boot kicking Gannosuke in the face, and finally H would manage to get the three count and the victory. Afterwards, Shawn Michaels would force the both of them to shake hands for putting on such a tremendous match. Both Gannosuke and H would grab the mic, and Gannosuke would state that he was not going to apologize for everything he did, which H would reply that he knew and understood as the two would embrace with each other. H would thank Gannosuke from the bottom of his heart for sharing this amazing moment with him, and would ask Gannosuke to go on a journey with him. The two would shake hands again, and hug and begin rolling around the ring, finally friends once again. Mr. Gannosuke was now officially no longer a Team No Respect member, and was now a member of Team FMW with his once again best friend H.

Mr. Gannosuke and H would team up for the first time and be given a WEW Tag Team Title shot on December 1, 1999 at the Osaka Prefectural Gym # 2, against Tetsuhiro Kuroda & Hisakatsu Oya, as the two would debut their double team moves, by delivering a double H Edge, and H would manage to get the pinfall victory over Kuroda, as Gannosuke was once again, a tag team champion. But backstage, new WEW World Champion Masato Tanaka would voice his opinion on how upset he was for H taking back Gannosuke after everything Gannosuke had done to him throughout the years, as well as how they were able to get a title shot, in their first tag team match back together.

Mr. Gannosuke, H and Masato Tanaka would be put together in a tag team match on December 3, 1999 at the Nagoya Aiichi City Gym Stadium #3 and defeat the TNR team of Kintaro Kanemura, Koji Nakagawa, and Gedo after H would pin Gedo with the H Edge. But after the victory, Masato Tanaka would simply just walk away from the ring, and not celebrate with H & Gannosuke. Tanaka would still remain angry after H just taking back Gannosuke like he had done nothing to him. Both H & Gannosuke would understand Tanaka's situation, Gannosuke would feel like he just cut in, and hurt H & Tanaka's friendship just like that, but that he would learn to accept it, and fight along with FMW.

Mr. Gannosuke & H would be set to defend their WEW Tag Team Titles for the first time on December 11, 1999 at Korakuen Hall, against the old tag team champions Tetsuhiro Kuroda & Hisakatsu Oya. Oya and Kuroda would start out with the early edge in the match with Oya getting Gannosuke in the Octopus stretch. H would manage to make the save for Gannosuke, and the double teaming of H & Gannosuke would result in Gannosuke Powerbombing Oya with H following with a Fire Bird Splash, but Oya would manage to kick out. H would tag in Gannosuke, but as Gannosuke would charge Oya, Oya would manage to get Gannosuke in his own Gannosuke Clutch, with Gannosuke kicking out. Gannosuke would get up and hit a hard running lariat at Oya. Gannosuke sensing that he had just pretty much finished Oya with that lariat, would finish Oya off with the Fire Thunder for the victory and would retain the titles.

Mr. Gannosuke and H would then be setup against Masato Tanaka & Tetsuhiro Kuroda on December 12, 1999 at Korakuen Hall, Tanaka would try to take all his frustrations out on both H & Gannosuke during the match. Tanaka would spear Gannosuke, and would attempt a Rolling Elbow on Gannosuke, but Gannosuke would manage to block it and turn it into a Gannosuke Clutch for two. Tanaka & Kuroda would hit their double team maneuvers including Kuroda setting H on his shoulders and Tanaka hitting a Diamond Cutter from the top turnbuckle on H. They would also follow with Kuroda hitting H with a Fire Thunder at the same time Tanaka would hit a Diamond Dust on Gannosuke with Kuroda covering, and H managing to kick out, but then hit with a lariat by Kuroda. H & Gannosuke would gain back control of the match, and manage to get revenge with H hitting the H Edge on Kuroda at the same time Gannosuke would hit a Fire Thunder on Tanaka. H would then finish the incredible match with debuting his new H Thunder on Kuroda for the victory. After the match, an extremely upset Masato Tanaka would declare that he was willing to quit FMW at any time, because the promotion had gotten soft with idiots like H & Gannosuke claiming to be champions. Tanaka would disassociate himself from FMW and align himself with ECW. Just as Kodo Fuyuki had been thrown out, and it seemed like FMW was finally going to be all together, Tanaka would begin to become a problem, and it wouldn't be known how much of a problem ECW would begin to become with FMW until the start of 2000.

Mr. Gannosuke would wrestle his first match in 2000, teaming with H, Hisakatsu Oya, and Ricky Fuji at Korakuen Hall on January 5, 2000 at Korakuen Hall against Mystery ECW team. The team would turn out to be the returning Kodo Fuyuki, Kyoko Inoue, Balls Mahoney, and Pitbull # 1 who would attack the ring. Kodo Fuyuki would shove Shoichi Arai down and announce that his new group was called "ECW Japan". The group would focus on cutting up H's forehead, with H eventually coming back against Fuyuki and hitting him with a shotei and then tagging in Gannosuke who would come in and clean house. Gannosuke would clothesline Fuyuki down, then Pitbull # 1, then Balls Mahoney, and then go over and hit Kyoko Inoue standing on the apron. Gannosuke would then square off against Pitbull # 1, and when two clotheslines could not get Pitbull down, a kick to the crotch by Gannosuke would manage to do the trick. Gannosuke would tag in Ricky Fuji to go up against Balls Mahoney, but Ricky would ultimately be blind sided with a clothesline by Kyoko Inoue, and then finished off with Kodo Fuyuki's Charging Lariat for the pinfall victory for ECW Japan. Kodo Fuyuki would later claim that he was not an official FMW wrestler, but that he was sent by Paul Heyman to invade FMW with his group of wrestlers.

After losing to Kodo Fuyuki and Kyoko Inoue on January 7th in a non title match, a match for February 25th at Korakuen Hall for the WEW Tag Team Titles would be signed at Korakuen Hall. H & Mr. Gannosuke would hold their own training festivity for the match on the streets of Tokyo while Ricky Fuji would sing on February 6th.

H & Mr. Gannosuke would defend the WEW Tag Team Titles for the second time on February 25, 2000 at Korakuen Hall against Kodo Fuyuki & Kyoko Inoue. H & Gannosuke would have the early advantage of Kyoko's lack of size with Gannosuke hitting Kyoko with a Powerbomb, and H hitting her with a Fire Bird Splash. Gannosuke would then catch Kodo Fuyuki on the top turnbuckle, and all hell would break loose as Gannosuke would attempt to Fire Thunder Fuyuki, but Fuyuki would break loose, and Gannosuke would charge Fuyuki with a lariat but with Fuyuki ducking out of the way, Gannosuke would accidentally hit the referee. Fuyuki would charge at Gannosuke, but Gannosuke would catch him and put Fuyuki in the Gannosuke Clutch, but there would be no referee to make the count. Gannosuke would then climb the top turnbuckle, when Chocoball Mukai in a ECW Japan shirt would kick Gannosuke off the top turnbuckle. Fuyuki would charge at Gannosuke, but Gannosuke would again catch Fuyuki's charge and attempt to put another Gannosuke Clutch on Fuyuki, but Fuyuki would get behind Gannosuke and with the referee now up, Fuyuki would roll Gannosuke up for a Samson Clutch and the pinfall victory over Gannosuke for the WEW Tag Team Titles.

After the match, Mr. Gannosuke would take time off and not compete in the March 2000 FMW tour, and during that time, Masato Tanaka would come back from ECW to take over ECW Japan from Kodo Fuyuki. H would also begin referring to himself as Super Star H.

Mr. Gannosuke would return to FMW after his leave of absence with a hair cut on April 11, 2000 at Korakuen Hall to team with H against ECW Japan's Masato Tanaka and Balls Mahoney. The match would start on a bad note for H & Gannosuke as Balls Mahoney right at the beginning of the match would hit H with a Nutcracker Suite off the top rope. H would lie motionless as Yoshinori Sasaki would carry off H. Mr. Gannosuke would begin fighting in a handicap match against Tanaka & Balls Mahoney until Kodo Fuyuki would come out and help Gannosuke. ECW Japan would be too much as Tracey Smothers and Crazy Boy would help out Tanaka & Mahoney by interfering. Fuyuki would eventually be laid out, when Hayabusa would return to the ring. Hayabusa would hit a flying spinning heel kick on Balls Mahoney in the ring to a loud reaction. It would be the first and only time that Gannosuke would team with Eiji Ezaki as Hayabusa as they would hit Tanaka with a double dropkick and spinning heel kick, but it would be Tanaka that would them both with a double spear. Hayabusa and Tanaka would square off, but eventually, Tanaka would nail Hayabusa with a Rolling Elbow and then finishing Hayabusa off with a Diamond Dust for the victory. A match for May 5, 2000 at Komazawa Olympic Gym would be signed for H & Mr. Gannosuke teaming up to take on Masato Tanaka & The Gladiator who would be returning to FMW for the first time in almost two years. The Gladiator would eventually leave ECW for WCW, and the card would be changed to Hayabusa facing off against Masato Tanaka and Mr. Gannosuke taking on Sabu on the show. But first, Mr. Gannosuke would have to fight Masato Tanaka for the third time.

Mr. Gannosuke would face Masato Tanaka on April 25, 2000 at the Shibuya Ward in Tokyo, although it would not turn out as good as their first two singles match, Gannosuke would be heavily cut during the match, with blood pouring down from his forehead. The two would find their way to the outside where Tanaka would hit a Tornado DDT off a chair on to a stack of chairs. Tanaka would put Gannosuke's head on a chair and hit a leg drop on the back of Gannosuke's head. Tanaka would eventually pull the turnbuckle off the apron and charge at the gushing Gannosuke, with Gannosuke moving out of the way, and Tanaka's elbow smashing against the unprotected turnbuckle pad. Gannosuke would begin working on Tanaka's arm with an arm bar. Tanaka would eventually break loose and attempt a Rolling Elbow, but Gannosuke would move out of the way and hit a Fire Thunder on Tanaka for a two count. Gannosuke would try for another Fire Thunder, but this time, Tanaka would break free and make it to the top turnbuckle and when Gannosuke would fall back to the turnbuckle, Tanaka would hit a Diamond Dust on Gannosuke for the victory over Gannosuke. After the match, H would hit the ring and clear it of ECW Japan. H would grab the mic and tell Tanaka that on May 5th at Komazawa, they'll see who the true Super Star is. Out of nowhere, a bloody Gannosuke would smack H across the face for his comment. Gannosuke would take the mic and ask H what he is to him. If Gannosuke was just a foil for H. If he was just using him to make his Super Star self come off better. H would ask Gannosuke to trust him, and to just wait for May 5th to prove what kind of man that he is.

Mr. Gannosuke would face off against Sabu on May 5, 2000 at the Komazawa Olympic Gym, and although Sabu would hit some of his signature spots during the match, his decline in the ring would end up turning the match into a focus of certain spots for the match. Gannosuke would try to save the match by Fire Thundering Sabu off the apron to the outside through a table. Sabu would eventually come back by shooting fire at Gannosuke's face, causing Gannosuke to roll to the outside in pain. When Sabu would make his way over to Gannosuke, out of nowhere Gannosuke would blow an incredibly huge fireball at Sabu's face, with Sabu screaming in pain from the fire, the referee would stop the match and call for the match to end the disappointing match. Hayabusa would end up defeating Masato Tanaka in the main event of the show, officially putting an end to ECW Japan.

Mr. Gannosuke and many of the other FMW wrestlers would then fly to America and attend the E3 Convention in California and also participated in matches at the Convention, with Mr. Gannosuke suffering an injury again to his leg. He would have to put a cast over it and be told to stay out of the ring for a month, but Gannosuke would be put in a 3 Way Dance match against H and Tetsuhiro Kuroda for the number one Contendership for Kodo Fuyuki's newly won WEW World Title for May 28, 2000 at Korakuen Hall.

Mr. Gannosuke would come to the ring with a huge cast over his leg and a crutch for his match against his friends H & Tetsuhiro Kuroda on May 28, 2000 at Korakuen Hall with Kodo Fuyuki as the Special Referee. Gannosuke would stay out of the match for the most part with H and Kuroda facing off against each other for the most part. Kodo Fuyuki would show no biased while referee other than he clearly wanted both H & Kuroda to lose to one another. Fuyuki would count fast counts for both H & Kuroda. H & Kuroda would take their fight in to the crowd with Mr. Gannosuke still in the ring, just waiting for them to return. When they would return, Gannosuke would either wrestler try to put the other away. Eventually, H would manage to eliminate Kuroda with a Hurricanrana, but as soon as Kuroda was eliminated, Gannosuke would smash his crutch over H's back and with help from Referee Kodo Fuyuki laying on H a long with Gannosuke, a quick count would take place and Mr. Gannosuke would be declared the winner of the match. A shocked H could not believe that Mr. Gannosuke had turned his back on FMW and was joining Kodo Fuyuki's new group of Shin Fuyuki-gun. A group that would consist of Kodo Fuyuki, Mr. Gannosuke, Kyoko Inoue, Koji Nakagawa now known as GOEMON, Hideki Hosaka, Yoshinori Sasaki, Chocoball Mukai, and with Shoichi Arai once again by Fuyuki's side. Gannosuke would tell H that he had trusted him, and make the mistake of doing so, and was now no longer siding him with him or Team FMW. Mr. Gannosuke was back as a heel.

Shin Fuyuki-gun would make their first mark as the dominant heel stable in FMW when they would capture Ricky Fuji on June 6, 2000 and lock him up in a room, where he would be cuffed and unable to barely move, with little water and food served to him daily. Shin Fuyuki-gun would announce that they planned on blowing up Ricky Fuji on June 16, 2000, unless the team of H & Hayabusa could defeat Kodo Fuyuki & GOEMON.

Mr. Gannosuke would carry a tied up Ricky Fuji and wheel him in to the forests where Mr. Gannosuke would blow up Ricky Fuji if H's team were to lose. Gannosuke would stand by Ricky Fuji the entire night, with dynamite attached and threaten to blow up Ricky after Ricky would begin talking back to him during the night. H would manage to defeat Kodo Fuyuki & GOEMON on June 16, 2000 at Korakuen Hall after Genichiro Tenryu would rush to the ring to help the bloody and injured H, and Powerbomb Fuyuki, setting up H to hit the Fire Bird Splash on Fuyuki for the pinfall victory. But after the victory, the FMW tron would show a huge explosion at the sight of where Gannosuke and Ricky Fuji were. The show would end with nobody knowing if Ricky Fuji had just survived the blast. Also, on the show, Kintaro Kanemura would officially end Team No Respect after two and a half years and join Shin Fuyuki-gun.

Mr. Gannosuke would return to Korakuen Hall on June 21, 2000 to announce that Ricky Fuji was not dead, and that they had left the scene when the explosion went off. Mr. Gannosuke would team up with Kodo Fuyuki, GOEMON, and Kyoko Inoue to take on the team of H, Genichiro Tenryu as Hayabusa, Tetsuhiro Kuroda, and Ricky Fuji. All eight wrestlers would start off going at it right away, with H and Gannosuke fighting on the outside. Tenryu would turn out to be the main story of the match as none of the Shin Fuyuki-gun wrestlers could manage much offense against Tenryu, especially Kyoko Inoue who would barely move Tenryu with her hits before she would tag in Fuyuki, who would manage to pull the Hayabusa mask off Tenryu, upsetting Tenryu to the point where he would lay heavy hard chops at Fuyuki, which would ultimately set up for H to once again finish off Fuyuki with another pinfall victory.

H would officially be given a WEW World Title shot against Kodo Fuyuki, but he would have to face every single Shin Fuyuki-gun member first. H would officially retire the gimmick the day before the show, and would return to Hayabusa full time on July 23, 2000 at the Tokyo Differ Ariake. Hayabusa would have to go through Mr. Gannosuke first, but even before the bell would ring, Gannosuke would jump Hayabusa, and Hayabusa would dropkick Gannosuke's knee causing the referee to reward the match via forfeit against Gannosuke before even starting. Hayabusa would eventually defeat every Shin Fuyuki-gun member to make it to Kodo Fuyuki for the WEW World Title shot. But a problem still remained, as every Shin Fuyuki-gun member stayed at ringside and interfered throughout the match to help Fuyuki, including Powerbombing Hayabusa in the crowd. Hayabusa would still take control of Fuyuki, and as Hayabusa climbed the top rope to deliver a Fire Bird Splash on Fuyuki, Jinsei Shinzaki would return to FMW and hit a Praying Powerbomb on Hayabusa, for Fuyuki to hit the Charging Lariat for the pinfall victory and to retain the WEW World Title.

A match would be scheduled for July 28, 2000 at Korakuen Hall between Hayabusa, Hisakatsu Oya, and a Mystery Partner against Kodo Fuyuki, Jinsei Shinzaki, and Mr. Gannosuke. Mr. Gannosuke would not be done with Ricky Fuji though, as Ricky Fuji would go out to a restaurant with Flying Kid Ichihara and Jun Kasanagi. Ricky would drink so much during the evening that he would pass out, and Ichihara would secretly give the okay for Gannosuke to come in and kidnap Ricky once again. Flying Kid Ichihara would become the newest member of Shin Fuyuki-gun as a result, and would be assigned to keep Ricky in Mount Fuji. Mountains that are known for driving people crazy, causing them to kill themselves. Flying Kid Ichihara and Jun Kasanagi would watch over Ricky Fuji on July 28, 2000 when Ichihara would walk away for break, and leave Kasanagi in charge, for when Ichihara would return, Ricky Fuji would manage to get loose and escape without Kasanagi paying any attention.

Mr. Gannosuke would team up with Jinsei Shinzaki for the first time, and it would be the first time the two had made any contact with each other since their feud in 1998 while teaming with Kodo Fuyuki on July 28, 2000 at Korakuen Hall. Hayabusa and Hisakatsu Oya would reveal their partner days before the show to be returning Masato Tanaka, who had not wrestled in FMW since his lost to Hayabusa. Gannosuke and Shinzaki would work well as a team together, with Shinzaki even allowing Gannosuke to hit his own Praying Powerbomb on Hayabusa. Gannosuke & Shinzaki would hit identical spots the Hayabusa & Shinzaki tag team ha perfected before Gannosuke and Shinzaki were about to send Hayabusa into the ropes, when Shinzaki would pull Gannosuke back and to a loud reaction from the crowd, hit a standing Moonsault and land a kick to the head of Gannosuke. Hayabusa & Jinsei Shinzaki were back as team mates as Gannosuke would have to be the one to suffer as a result. Hayabusa & Shinzaki would hit their double signature Asai Moonsaults on Gannosuke before Hayabusa would finally manage to finish Gannosuke off with a Fire Bird Splash for the victory.

Gannosuke would manage to get revenge on Hayabusa though, as on August 18, 2000 at the Osaka Prefectural Gym # 2, the team of Mr. Gannosuke, Kintaro Kanemura, and GOEMON would defeat the team of Hayabusa, Masato Tanaka, and Tetsuhiro Kuroda after Gannosuke would pin Hayabusa with the Gannosuke Clutch. Due to post match stipulations, Shin Fuyuki-gun would be allowed to throw pies in the face of Hayabusa, Tanaka, and Kuroda. The same stipulation would take place on August 20, 2000 at the Tokyo Differ Ariake after Gannosuke, Kanemura, and GOEMON would defeat Hayabusa, Tetsuhiro Kuroda, and Hisakatsu Oya after GOEMON would pin Kuroda with a Gannosuke Clutch allowing Shin Fuyuki-gun as well as fans the opportunity to throw pies in the faces of the FMW team. This would set up a singles match between Hayabusa against Mr. Gannosuke in their sixth singles match. Ricky Fuji would finally come back from his three week stay of trying to make his way out of Mount Fuji, and would return to announce a new friend for Team FMW who helped him back to Tokyo from the Mountains, Onryo.

Mr. Gannosuke would face off against Hayabusa on August 28, 2000 at Korakuen Hall, due to traffic Jinsei Shinzaki would miss an earlier match on the card, and Shin Fuyuki-gun would take advantage as Kintaro Kanemura & GOEMON would interfere throughout the match. Hayabusa would be rolled up in the blue ring mat and then sat on by Kintaro Kanemura. Mr. Gannosuke would hit one of the most devastating Fire Thunder's he has ever hit, but it still would not put Hayabusa away. Finally, Jinsei Shinzaki would make it to Korakuen Hall and rush to the ring and help Hayabusa out by attacking Kanemura & GOEMON, and then double teaming Gannosuke by hitting their signature double Asai Moonsaults together on Gannosuke before Hayabusa would finally finish Gannosuke off with the H Thunder for the victory. Although, it would be not be their best technically sound match, it would be the most fun match the two would have, and sadly it would turn out to be their last ever singles match against one another. It would also mark the last ever appearance of Jinsei Shinzaki in FMW.

Mr. Gannosuke would begin to show frustrations with Shin Fuyuki-gun as Shinjuku Shark would join FMW and Shin Fuyuki-gun and form a team with Kodo Fuyuki & Mr. Gannosuke and defeat Hayabusa, Tetsuhiro Kuroda, and Hisakatsu Oya on September 15, 2000, but the reign would be incredibly short as just two days later, the team of Jado & Gedo & Kaori Nakayama would defeat Kodo Fuyuki, Mr. Gannosuke, and Shinjuku Shark on September 17, 2000 at the Tokyo Differ Ariake after Jado would smash a Singapore cane over Fuyuki's back and Kaori Nakayama would roll up Fuyuki for the pinfall victory. An incredibly upset and shock Gannosuke would shove Fuyuki for losing the titles and being pinned by a girl in the process. The team of Masato Tanaka, Tetsuhiro Kuroda, and Onryo would defeat the team of Mr. Gannosuke, GOEMON, and Shinjuku Shark on September 21, 2000 at the Sapporo Green Dome after Tanaka would pin Shark. An incredibly upset Gannosuke would want nothing to do with his fellow Shin Fuyuki-gun members after the match, as it was obvious, the frustration was setting in and Gannosuke was about ready to burst.

Mr. Gannosuke would team up with GOEMON to take on Tetsuhiro Kuroda & Onryo on September 26, 2000 at Korakuen Hall, Kuroda with an injured shoulder would bring in a famous Japanese Baseball Player to accompany him to ringside, and Kuroda & the Baseball player hitting Kuroda's signature spots during the match. This would incredibly upset Gannosuke would lead to an attack on Kuroda's shoulder, and would throw his own team mate GOEMON out of the way and put Kuroda in a arm bar and force the injured Kuroda to tap for the Gannosuke victory. Gannosuke afterwards would call Shoichi Arai to the ring and become to express his frustration with the promotion. Gannosuke would complain to Arai about FMW, a promotion he came into being heavy on street fights and bloody wars turning into a Entertainment circus. Singers were being given World Title shots, there were Cooking Death Matches with Japanese Chefs interfering, and now a Baseball Player putting himself in the middle of a match. Arai would state this was the best way for FMW to make money, and that he was not going to listen to Gannosuke any longer, and as a result, Gannosuke would clothesline Arai and attack him as finally Gannosuke has exploded due to his frustration. Gannosuke would leave, but Shoichi Arai would grab the mic and announce that Mr. Gannosuke was now officially fired from FMW.

Mr. Gannosuke would not go away so easily, as he would attack Tetsuhiro Kuroda during his match on October 7, 2000 causing Chocoball Mukai to get an incredible upset victory over Kuroda. Gannosuke would strike again on October 10, 2000 at the Fukuoka Hakata Star Lanes, as he would attack Kuroda and the two would begin brawling outside of the building in the streets of Fukuoka. Gannosuke would attack again on October 29, 2000 at Korakuen Hall, and would eventually lead Gedo to score the pinfall victory over Kuroda once again. Shoichi Arai had enough of Gannosuke interfering despite being fired, and would announce that he would allow Mr. Gannosuke to wrestle one more time in FMW, against Tetsuhiro Kuroda on November 12, 2000 at the Yokohama Bunka Gym. If Gannosuke were to win, he would be allowed back in FMW, but if Gannosuke were to lose, he would be force to retire from professional wrestling. Gannosuke would accept the match.

Mr. Gannosuke would face Tetsuhiro Kuroda on November 12, 2000 at the Yokohama Bunka Gym, in the first singles match between the two since Mr. Gannosuke's return to FMW on November 20, 1998 at the Yokohama Bunka Gym. Kuroda would be much more polished than he was against Gannosuke two years ago, and be able to bring out much more offense against Gannosuke. Kuroda would start off the match with a handful of lariats. Kuroda would bring a chair in the match and smash it over Gannosuke's head causing blood to begin pouring out from Gannosuke. Kuroda would hit several Rolling German Supplexs, followed by a lariat, but a bloody Gannosuke would manage to kick out. Kuroda would charge with a lariat, but Gannosuke would manage to turn it into a Gannosuke Clutch, but Kuroda would manage to kick out. Gannosuke would begin incorporating his favorite wrestler Riki Choshu's signature moves into his matches, and would hit a lariat and a Scorpion Death Lock on Kuroda, and when Kuroda would manage to get out, Gannosuke would hit a Powerbomb for two. Gannosuke would attempt to finish Kuroda with a Fire Thunder, but Kuroda would manage to break away before being hit with it. Kuroda would charge with a lariat, but once again, Gannosuke would get Kuroda into the Gannosuke Clutch, but once again Kuroda would manage to kick out right at the last moment. Kuroda would hit several more lariats on Gannosuke, with Gannosuke kicking out each time before Kuroda would debut his new Technan Buster Implant DDT and would finally manage to defeat the bloody Mr. Gannosuke, forcing Mr. Gannosuke to officially retire from wrestling. An incredibly excited Kuroda would take the chance to humiliate Mr. Gannosuke by going over to the ring bell and giving Mr. Gannosuke's career a 10 bell salute, incredibly fast. A very bloody and now tearful Mr. Gannosuke would grab the mic and say goodbye to the FMW fans with tears and blood running down his face. Tetsuhiro Kuroda would later in the show attack Hayabusa, after Hayabusa would lose his chance at winning the WEW World Title from Kodo Fuyuki on the show before having to be out of action for 6 months due to double reconstructive elbow surgery. Kuroda would hit the Technan Buster on Hayabusa, laying him out, with Kuroda declaring himself the new ace of FMW.

Mr. Gannosuke would take a leave of absence from FMW to be there for the birth of his daughter, and would help Tarzan Goto train his students with Gannosuke being put in charge of help training student Banji Takada. Takada would be Gannosuke's protégé. Gannosuke would also continue to show up at FMW shows during his leave.

Mr. Gannosuke would be seen in the Parking Lot at Korakuen Hall on December 20, 2000, and would come out to do color commentary for the main event of the show as Masashi Honda. Honda would shake hands with Hisakatsu Oya who had been doing color commentary before Honda showed up, with Honda taking Oya's spot. Honda would announce that he has adapted to a non professional wrestling life, and is making the best of his situation now living a ordinary life. Hayabusa would also come out for the first time since the November 12, 2000 show, and sit down to observe the match. Tetsuhiro Kuroda who had joined Shin Fuyuki-gun the month before, would team with Kodo Fuyuki & Kintaro Kanemura to defeat The Complete Players of Masato Tanaka, Jado, and Gedo in the last ever FMW barbwire match after Kuroda would pin Jado with the Technan Buster. After the match, Kuroda would turn his attention to Hayabusa and beg Hayabusa to come into the ring for another beating, with Masashi Honda holding Hayabusa back from making the mistake of going into the ring against Kuroda injured, Kuroda would scream at Hayabusa and call him a Chicken for not coming into the ring. Hayabusa would flick off Kuroda and would leave with Honda to Kuroda to do what only the ace of FMW would do, and shake hands with the fans after the show, and give a speech about the promotion.

With Hayabusa & Gannosuke out of action to start 2001, Tetsuhiro Kuroda would turn on Kodo Fuyuki and form his own group with Azusa Kudo, Naohiko Yamazaki, Shinjuku Shark, and later Mammoth Sasaki called Team Kuroda. Despite Kuroda giving it all to help the promotion, the loss of the two of the top main attractions would hurt attendances for shows, and as a result, Shoichi Arai would offer anyone who would want a release from FMW, the opportunity. The Complete Players of Masato Tanaka, Jado, Gedo, Kaori Nakayama, as well as Hideki Hosaka would all take the release and never wrestle in FMW again.

Tetsuhiro Kuroda would earn the right at Kodo Fuyuki's WEW World Title after defeating Kintaro Kanemura on March 13, 2001 at Korakuen Hall, with the show drawing the lowest show ever for FMW, it a low moment for FMW, but it would not look dark as Masashi Honda for no reason out of nowhere, would return wearing a masked that the Masked Sumo had worn in FMW, and would attack Kintaro Kanemura and nail the Fire Thunder on Kanemura. An incredibly bloody Kuroda would defeat Kanemura with the Technan Buster and earn the shot at Kodo Fuyuki's WEW World Title on April 1, 2001.

Masashi Honda would return to Korakuen Hall on April 1, 2001 along with his student Banji Takada, and would announce to the FMW crowd that Banji Takada was his protégé, and after losing to Yoshihito Sasaki, Honda would play nice towards everyone shaking everyone's hand. Shoichi Arai would come to the ring, and state that due to the recent good behavior that Masashi Honda had been doing, and it being April Fools Day anyway, Shoichi Arai would offer Masashi Honda to return to FMW as a wrestler. Tetsuhiro Kuroda would challenge Kodo Fuyuki for the WEW World Title, and during the match, Kodo Fuyuki would place Kuroda on top of his shoulders, ready to hit a Muscle Buster on Kuroda when Mr. Gannosuke's "Kishindo" theme song would play and out would come Mr. Gannosuke in his ring attire, and would grab a chair, and instead of hitting Tetsuhiro Kuroda who had retired and embarrassed him, Mr. Gannosuke would begin smashing the chair over Fuyuki's back. Mr. Gannosuke & Tetsuhiro Kuroda would shake hands to a huge pop and would deliver a dropkick on Fuyuki. Hayabusa, out to observer the match, would take offense to Gannosuke helping Kuroda, and would begin attacking Gannosuke on the outside, as Fuyuki would charge Kuroda, but Kuroda would catch Fuyuki, and Kuroda would manage to pin Fuyuki with the Gannosuke Clutch for the pinfall victory, and to become the new WEW World Champion. Mr. Gannosuke and Tetsuhiro Kuroda would continue to attack Hayabusa, until The Great Sasuke would come to make the save for Hayabusa. Eventually, Kuroda & Gannosuke would walk away with Hayabusa's mask and the WEW World Title. Mr. Gannosuke would become the newest member of Team Kuroda. A match would be set for Hayabusa's return to FMW for May 5, 2001 at the Parking Lot of the old Kawasaki Stadium Building in a match that would pit Team Kuroda members Tetsuhiro Kuroda & Mr. Gannosuke taking on Hayabusa & The Great Sasuke in a Exploding Octagon Cage Death Match.

To try and make sure that Hayabusa would not be healthy for his big return, a Team Kuroda member would run down Hayabusa in a motorcycle, running over his foot and kidnapping him. Kuroda & Gannosuke would do their best to bug and irritate The Great Sasuke by peaking their head through his locker room door and making fun of him during his interview. Mr. Gannosuke would have his first match back since his November 12, 2000 lost to Tetsuhiro Kuroda on April 15, 2001 at Korakuen Hall, with the building looking more lively and more filled with Mr. Gannosuke returning, and Hayabusa on his way back. Mr. Gannosuke would team with fellow Team Kuroda members Tetsuhiro Kuroda & Mammoth Sasaki to take on The Great Sasuke, GOEMON, and Onryo. The Great Sasuke would attack Gannosuke right at the start of the match, sending him out of the ring, and hitting a tope con hilo landing right on Gannosuke on the outside. Gannosuke would be tagged in eventually and the first thing he would do when coming back would be hit his tribute to Riki Choshu Lariat on The Great Sasuke and then place him in the Scorpion Death Lock. Kuroda would take over on the beating on Sasuke, as the two would begin brawling in the crowd, but when returning, The Great Sasuke would get the advantage and attempt to hit a Powerbomb on Kuroda, but Gannosuke would manage to make the save, and would attempt to hit the Fire Thunder on The Great Sasuke, but Sasuke would manage to break away and quickly tag GOEMON in. GOEMON would duck a clothesline by Gannosuke, but when coming back, Gannosuke would manage to hook the Gannosuke Clutch on GOEMON for a two count, and then followed with a Fire Thunder. Kuroda would manage to eventually put away Onryo with his Technan Buster DDT for the pinfall victory over Onryo. Team Kuroda would continue to attack the beaten Great Sasuke when Hayabusa's "Fight with Dream II" would begin playing, but instead of Hayabusa coming out to make the save, it would be Team Kuroda bringing an injured Hayabusa to the ring to beat on more. Team Kuroda would beat on Hayabusa & The Great Sasuke with Gannosuke pulling off Sasuke's mask and putting it on himself as Hayabusa & The Great Sasuke would lay there until Team Kuroda would finally leave. Hayabusa would finally get up with The Great Sasuke having to stay down with his face on the mat without letting the fans see his face, as Hayabusa would declare revenge on Tetsuhiro Kuroda & Mr. Gannosuke for his return on May 5th at Kawasaki Stadium.

Mr. Gannosuke & Tetsuhiro Kuroda would team up on May 5, 2001 at Kawasaki Stadium to take on the team of Hayabusa & The Great Sasuke in a Exploding Octagon Cage Death Match. Hayabusa and Gannosuke would go right at it to begin the match, with both of them fighting to the outside of the ring, and Gannosuke already trying to throw Hayabusa head first into the exploding Octagon cage. Hayabusa would avoid the explosion, but would climb to the apron and jump at Gannosuke, but Gannosuke would manage to move out of the way, and already Hayabusa would be sent into the Exploding Cage. Kuroda and Sasuke would fight in the ring, and by the time Kuroda would manage to send Sasuke into the Explosions as well, Hayabusa and Gannosuke would be back in the ring going at it. Gannosuke would hit Hayabusa with his Riki Choshu lariat and then put Hayabusa in the Scorpion Death Lock. Kuroda and Gannosuke would double team on Hayabusa, dropping double elbows on Hayabusa, and then hitting Hayabusa with a Double Northern Lights Suplex, but would fail to put Hayabusa away despite the early beating Hayabusa had taken. Hayabusa would come back, and nail both Gannosuke and Kuroda with kicks to the head, and then would hit a Fisherman Buster on Kuroda before Gannosuke could make the save. Gannosuke would grab Hayabusa and deliver his Fire Thunder on Hayabusa, but would still not be able to put Hayabusa away after Sasuke would manage to make the save. Sasuke would throw Kuroda outside of the ring and then hit a tope con hilo on Kuroda, causing both of them to hit the exploding cage. Gannosuke would see his opportunity to try and finish off Hayabusa, and would attempt a Powerbomb, but Hayabusa would manage to reverse it into a hurricanrana. Hayabusa would charge Gannosuke, but Gannosuke would backdrop Hayabusa to the apron, and the two would begin attempting to throw each other into the cage with Irish Whips before both Hayabusa & Gannosuke would send each other into the cage together, causing not only an explosion from that side of the cage, but the entire Octagon Cage would explode afterwards. Dust would begin flying everywhere as all four wrestlers would be laid out. Sasuke and Kuroda would manage to be the first ones up, and Kuroda would take the advantage over Sasuke and deliver his Technan Buster DDT on Sasuke, but out of nowhere Hayabusa would manage to make the save before the three count. Gannosuke would manage to finally make it in the ring for an awaiting Hayabusa who would hit a Falcon Arrow on Gannosuke for a two count. Hayabusa would then try to hit Gannosuke with an H Edge, but Gannosuke would manage to resist it, and when Hayabusa would go for a Shotei on Gannosuke, Gannosuke would manage to turn it into a Gannosuke Clutch on Hayabusa for a two count. Hayabusa would manage to make it up before Gannosuke though, and would finally deliver the Shotei on Gannosuke, and then manage to lay Gannosuke out with a Fire Bird Splash. Hayabusa would then finally finish Gannosuke off with the H Thunder for the victory in his return at Kawasaki Stadium. It would be a huge loss for Team Kuroda.

Team Kuroda would gather themselves after the loss on May 5th to team on May 11, 2001 at Korakuen Hall, with the team of Tetsuhiro Kuroda, Mr. Gannosuke, and Mammoth Sasaki facing Hayabusa, Hisakatsu Oya, and Ricky Fuji. The match would start out very slow, but during the match, Gannosuke & Kuroda would double team on Hayabusa when Gannosuke would accidentally lariat Kuroda. Kuroda would become extremely upset over the miscommunication and begin screaming at Gannosuke, with Mammoth Sasaki trying to hold the two top members of Team Kuroda back from going at it. Gannosuke would eventually leave extremely upset over how he was being treated by Kuroda, and Hayabusa would manage as a result to score a pinfall victory over Kuroda after pinning the WEW World Champion with a Fire Bird Splash. This would set up for Hayabusa challenging Tetsuhiro Kuroda for the WEW World Title on May 22, 2001 at the Sapporo Green Dome, but in the semi main event, Mr. Gannosuke would team up with Mammoth Sasaki to face GOEMON & Onryo for the WEW Tag Team Titles.

Mr. Gannosuke & Mammoth Sasaki would team up to challenge for GOEMON & Onryo's WEW Tag Team Titles on May 22, 2001 at the Sapporo Green Dome, with the much bigger Gannosuke & Mammoth being the favorites for the match. GOEMON would manage to hook Gannosuke in the Sharpshooter early in the match, but after Gannosuke would manage to break out of the move, he would hit the Riki Choshu Lariat, followed by his own version of the Scorpion Death Lock. Gannosuke would attempt a lariat once again at GOEMON, but this time, GOEMON would manage to catch it, and put Gannosuke in his own Gannosuke Clutch with Gannosuke kicking out. Gannosuke would get right up and put GOEMON in his own Gannosuke Clutch with Onryo making the save for GOEMON. Onryo would attack Gannosuke, but Gannosuke would manage to catch Onryo in the air and hit him with his Fire Thunder. Mammoth would be tagged in and hit a Rydeen Bomb on Onryo, with Onryo catching the referee's arm before the three count. Mammoth would run the ropes, and would be tripped by GOEMON as a result, with Onryo putting Mammoth in the Onryo Clutch with Gannosuke managing to make the save. Gannosuke would attempt a Powerbomb, but Onryo would reverse it into a hurricanrana sending Gannosuke out of the ring, and just as soon as Mammoth would manage to get up, Onryo would manage to kick Mammoth's leg out from under him, and put him in the Onryo Clutch for the victory and the successful defense of their WEW Tag Team Titles. Mr. Gannosuke afterwards would be very impressed with Mammoth's fight during the match, and would tell Mammoth that even though he no longer wants to be associated with Tetsuhiro Kuroda anymore, he still wants to be aligned with Mammoth, and the two would form a new alliance with each other together as a result. During the main event of the show, Mr. Gannosuke would run to the ring and attempt to attack Tetsuhiro Kuroda during his match with Hayabusa for the WEW World Title in a Double Hell Exploding Death Match. Gannosuke would attempt to throw Kuroda into the explosions, with Special Referee Kodo Fuyuki holding Gannosuke back from doing so from the apron of the ring. Hayabusa & Kuroda would team together to double dropkick Gannosuke, and as a result Gannosuke would fly into Kodo Fuyuki, sending the Special Referee into the Explosions. Kintaro Kanemura would quickly run to the ring, and attack Gannosuke to the back, with both the former Team No Respect friends leaving the ringside area with Kodo Fuyuki still down. Hayabusa would manage to defeat Tetsuhiro Kuroda for the WEW World Title after the H Thunder, causing what was left of Team Kuroda to lose the belt.

Kodo Fuyuki would announce on June 8, 2001 at Korakuen Hall, his plans to officially own all of FMW, with Tokyo Pro's Stuart Levy as the backer. Every FMW wrestler would come to the ring, with Fuyuki announcing his plans to over rule Shoichi Arai's ownership of the promotion after FMW Vice President Senmu Yoshida would reveal that he had sold his FMW stock to Kodo Fuyuki, and Fuyuki would begin telling all the wrestlers they would be given huge sums of money for joining Fuyuki. Gannosuke & Kanemura would be the first to quickly take the offer, and rejoin with Fuyuki. Hayabusa would then announce that Kodo Fuyuki did not own more than 50% of FMW, because Hayabusa himself owned 5% of the promotions stock. This would cause many of the loyal FMW wrestlers to return back to Hayabusa & Shoichi Arai, but Kodo Fuyuki's new group would still consist of Mr. Gannosuke, Kintaro Kanemura, Mammoth Sasaki, Chocoball Mukai, Flying Kid Ichihara, Shinjuku Shark, and FMW rookies Tomokazu Morita, Yoshihito Sasaki, and Satoshi Makita. Tetsuhiro Kuroda would side with Hayabusa and FMW, officially ending Team Kuroda after 5 months. Kodo Fuyuki would announce the main event of the show to be Mr. Gannosuke & Kintaro Kanemura returning as a team to take on Hayabusa & Tetsuhiro Kuroda. Kanemura and Hayabusa would start the match off, but after Hayabusa would manage to send Kanemura to the ring, Gannosuke would charge after Hayabusa, but Hayabusa would manage to dropkick Gannosuke and send him out of the ring, and then would hit Gannosuke with a top con hilo. Gannosuke would attack Shoichi Arai, sending Arai into a stack of chairs. Gannosuke would come back in the ring against former Team Kuroda member just a month before, and hit Kuroda with the Riki Choshu Lariat, and then put Kuroda in the Scorpion Death Lock. With Kuroda in the Death Lock, Kanemura would hit a body attack on Kuroda, landing straight on him. Gannosuke & Kanemura would use their set of double teams, including Gannosuke hip tossing Kanemura on Kuroda, and then followed with a Kanemura senton on Kuroda. Kuroda would manage to make it back up, and begin clotheslining both Gannosuke & Kanemura before tagging in Hayabusa who would hit a flying body press on Gannosuke. Hayabusa would hit Gannosuke with a hurricanrana sending Gannosuke out to the outside, with Hayabusa hitting an Asai Moonsault. Hayabusa would throw Gannosuke back in the ring, but when attempting an attempted inside the ring Asai Moonsault, Gannosuke would put his knees up in the air for Hayabusa to land on. Gannosuke & Kanemura would hit their double united Fire Thunder on Hayabusa, but would only manage to get a two count. Kuroda would come back in and clear Gannosuke & Kanemura, but when Kuroda would hit a Technan Buster DDT on Kanemura, Gannosuke would make the save by pulling Kuroda off of Kanemura. Hayabusa would come in and attack Kanemura causing Kanemura to tag in Gannosuke who would be hit with Hayabusa's Falcon Arrow. Hayabusa would attempt a springboard hurricanrana, but Gannosuke would turn it into a sit out Powerbomb on Hayabusa for a count. Gannosuke would then deliver a Fire Thunder on Hayabusa, but Kuroda would manage to make the save. Hayabusa would attempt a running shotei with Gannosuke catching it and turning it into a Gannosuke Clutch and getting the pinfall victory over Hayabusa. It would be the last pinfall victory for Gannosuke over Hayabusa, with Kodo Fuyuki now gaining control of Shoichi Arai, and as a result, Kodo Fuyuki would make Arai punch Hayabusa. Fuyuki would then announce that Shoichi Arai would team with Mr. Gannosuke & Kintaro Kanemura against Hayabusa, GOEMON, and Onryo on July 2, 2001 at Korakuen Hall, and if Arai were to be pinned in the match, then he would be fired from FMW. Mr. Gannosuke & Kanemura would begin training with Shoichi Arai, taking him to the weight room, trying to get him in as top shape as possible as their partner against Hayabusa's team.

Mr. Gannosuke, Kintaro Kanemura & Shoichi Arai would team up against Hayabusa, GOEMON, and Onryo on July 2, 2001 at Korakuen Hall with Kodo Fuyuki as the Special Referee, with Shoichi Arai losing. Mr. Gannosuke would debut to the crowd his new girlfriend the beautiful Mirei to the crowd. The match would start with GOEMON attempting to save Arai from any of the stress, and would lay down and offer Arai to pin him right away, causing Gannosuke & Kanemura to make the quick save from allowing their partner to win just like that. GOEMON not knowing what to do, not wanting to hurt Arai, would tag in Hayabusa. Hayabusa would come in, and as Arai would go for the tag, Gannosuke and Kanemura were down the tag. Hayabusa would lay one punch Arai to the ground, disgusting Gannosuke & Kanemura so much that Kanemura would finally be tagged in. Gannosuke & GOEMON would both be tagged in, and Gannosuke would hit GOEMON with a bulldog, and then mock Hayabusa by using the old Hayabusa & Shinzaki mannerism after they would hit a double bulldog, but this would leave GOEMON open to get up and put Gannosuke in a stretch plumb with GOEMON rolling up Gannosuke for two. Hayabusa & Onryo would then come in the ring and triple team on Gannosuke, with Onryo being left in the ring. Gannosuke would quickly hit a lowblow on Onryo, and Gannosuke & Kanemura would go to take care of Hayabusa & GOEMON, Shoichi Arai would go over and see if Onryo was okay, which he would get kicked by Referee Kodo Fuyuki as a result. Gannosuke would also kick Arai, when Gannosuke's girlfriend Mirei would come in the ring and with Gannosuke holding Hayabusa, bring a chair in the ring and hit Hayabusa over the head with it. Gannosuke would begin brawling with Hayabusa in the crowd, when Kanemura would begin working over Onryo. Gannosuke would come back in the ring, and the two would do their trademark Team No Respect kiss and then double elbow Onryo. Kanemura would then grab Arai, and force Arai to do the same thing with him, dropping the double elbow on Onryo. Gannosuke would hit Onryo with his Riki Choshu Lariat and then put Onryo in the Scorpion Death Lock. Gannosuke would then tag Arai, and force him to fight the injure Onryo. Kanemura would come in with a chair, but instead of hitting Onryo with it, would just begin to smash the chair over Arai. Hayabusa would begin going at it with Gannosuke, sending Gannosuke to the outside with a Hurricanrana and then hitting an Asai Moonsault on the outside to Gannosuke. GOEMON would come in and roll up Kanemura with the Gannosuke Clutch, but Referee Kodo Fuyuki would refuse to count. Kanemura would climb to the top rope with Gannosuke handing him a chair, but when Kanemura would come off the turnbuckle, GOEMON would move out of the way, and instead Kanemura would knock out Fuyuki with the chair. Gannosuke would come in and hit GOEMON with a Praying Powerbomb with Fuyuki getting up and attempting a quick count, but still not being able to get to three. Gannosuke would setup for the Fire Thunder on Gannosuke, but GOEMON would manage to break free and send Gannosuke flying into Fuyuki in the corner, once again knocking Fuyuki down. Hayabusa would come in and hit Gannosuke with the Falcon Arrow, but there would be no Fuyuki to even attempt to count. But when Hayabusa would begin charging after Gannosuke, Gannosuke would catch him and put Hayabusa in the Gannosuke Clutch, with Fuyuki getting up and attempting a quick count, but still not quick enough. Hayabusa would get up and begin to argue with Fuyuki, and would get slapped by Fuyuki as a result, but it would turn Hayabusa around to see Gannosuke charging at him, and Hayabusa would hit Gannosuke with the H Edge. Hayabusa would then hit Gannosuke with the Fire Bird Splash, and cover Gannosuke, but Fuyuki would only go to count for two until FMW Referee Marty Asano would rush to the ring and hit Fuyuki's hand down for three to give the victory to Hayabusa. It would be the last time that Hayabusa would pin Gannosuke again. As a result of Hayabusa's team still managing to win, Kodo Fuyuki would make a match for July 20, 2001 at Korakuen Hall, with Fuyuki teaming with Gannosuke, Kanemura, and FMW Vice President Senmu Yoshida to face Hayabusa, Tetsuhiro Kuroda, Azusa Kudo, and Shoichi Arai.

Mr. Gannosuke would team with Kodo Fuyuki, Kintaro Kanemura, and Senmu Yoshida on July 20, 2001 at Korakuen Hall to face Hayabusa, Tetsuhiro Kuroda, Azusa Kudo, and Shoichi Arai. Gannosuke and Kuroda would go at it right away, before the two would begin fighting all the way to the back, clearing the crowd while attacking each other with chairs. With all eight wrestlers brawling around ringside, it would finally be calmed down with Gannosuke and Shoichi Arai going at it in the ring. Gannosuke would hit his Riki Choshu Lariat on Arai, and then put Arai in the Scorpion Death Lock before Hayabusa would make the save. Gannosuke and Kudo would begin going at it, with Kudo getting Gannosuke in the stretch plumb, with Gannosuke's girlfriend Mirei swatting at Kudo to break the move. Kudo would head butt Mirei for her troubles as a result, and then hitting a leg drop on her, with Gannosuke throwing Kudo out of the ring, and try to help his girlfriend back up. Kuroda and Gannosuke would begin brawling into the crowd once again, with Kuroda hitting his running lariat through the crowd. Gannosuke would come back on Kuroda with his Riki Choshu running lariat on Kuroda in the crowd, and then put Kuroda in the Scorpion Death Lock in the aisle of the crowd. A triple team of Gannosuke, Kanemura, and Fuyuki would begin brutalizing Azusa Kudo, before he could make the desperate tag to Hayabusa, who would begin going at it with Gannosuke. Hayabusa would hit an Asai Moonsault on Gannosuke to the outside, but when attempting his Asai Moonsault, Gannosuke would manage to get his knees up in the air in time. Gannosuke would then take the opportunity once again to hit Hayabusa with the Fire Thunder. Kudo would be tagged in, but once again would be met with a triple team, with Fuyuki hitting a Charging Lariat, Gannosuke hitting a Fisherman Suplex, and Kanemura using multiple chairs, including a Thunder Fire Powerbomb on the chairs, before Kanemura would finish Kudo off with a senton on the stack of chairs for the win. After the match, it would be announced that the ownership of FMW would be on the line at the upcoming August 11, 2001 Komazawa Olympic Gym show with the best of three matches deciding whether Kodo Fuyuki or Shoichi Arai would own FMW. Kodo Fuyuki would take on Azusa Kudo, Mr. Gannosuke would face Tetsuhiro Kuroda, and Hayabusa would defend the WEW World Title against Kintaro Kanemura.

The team of Mr. Gannosuke, Kintaro Kanemura, and Kodo Fuyuki would then manage to score the WEW 6 Man Tag Team Titles on July 30, 2001 at the Fukouka Hakata Star Lanes, by defeating the team of Hisakatsu Oya, Ricky Fuji, and Flying Kid Ichihara for the titles after Gannosuke would pin former IWA friend Flying Kid Ichihara with a Fire Thunder for the titles. Gannosuke, Kanemura, and Mammoth Sasaki would face off against Hayabusa, GOEMON, and Onryo on August 3, 2001 at Korakuen Hall, but before their match, Azusa Kudo attempting to have a reverse sex change, would end up being given the DNA of a Spider and turn into Biomonster DNA, with DNA attacking Arai, and almost giving Fuyuki a heart attack in the mean time, knowing he would now have to face a Monster on August 11th. Gannosuke's team would begin focusing on attempting to beat the much smaller Onryo, with Gannosuke hitting his Riki Choshu Lariat on Onryo, as well as putting him the Scorpion Death Lock. Kanemura would also hit Onryo with a Thunder Fire Powerbomb, and when Hayabusa would come to make the save for Onryo, Gannosuke would hit Hayabusa with a Fire Thunder, spiking Hayabusa incredibly hard, almost knocking him out, with Kanemura following with a Thunder Fire Powerbomb on Hayabusa to score the pinfall victory over Hayabusa.

Mr. Gannosuke would now face former Team Kuroda friend Tetsuhiro Kuroda in a singles match on August 11, 2001 at Komazawa Olympic Gym, in the second match of the best of three series to determine who would win the ownership of FMW. Biomonster DNA would give Team FMW a quick 1-0 lead after defeating Kodo Fuyuki easily in the first match. It would be Mr. Gannosuke's first singles match since the last time he faced Tetsuhiro Kuroda on November 12, 2000 and was force to retire after losing to him. Gannosuke and Kuroda would begin mouthing off early during the match, with the two slapping each other right away, with Gannosuke sending Kuroda to the ropes, and Mirei tripping Kuroda. Kuroda would begin to go after Mirei, but Gannosuke would save his girlfriend and hit Kuroda with the Riki Choshu Lariat and then place him the Scorpion Death Lock. Kuroda would take back control of the match after getting out and would put Gannosuke's legs between the turnbuckle, when Kuroda would go to elbow it, Mirei would pull herself in front of Gannosuke's leg, but it would not stop Kuroda from laying the elbow on Mirei's back, laying her out. Gannosuke would get up and chase Kuroda to the back of the arena and would end up brawling in the upper deck of the arena. Kuroda would attempt to throw Gannosuke off the balcony, but instead would end up hitting a running lariat and nailing Gannosuke. The two would brawl back downstairs where Kuroda would use a fan's umbrella on Gannosuke. Kuroda would begin to charge Gannosuke at the ring post, but instead Gannosuke would throw Kuroda into the ring post shoulder first. Gannosuke would continue to work over Kuroda's shoulder, throwing Kuroda's shoulder into the ring post multiple times, and then taking off the turnbuckle pad and ramming Kuroda's shoulder into it. Gannosuke would continue working on Kuroda's shoulder with multiple arm bars, but Kuroda would finally manage to break through and would charge Gannosuke with his other arm, and get caught and get put into Gannosuke's Gannosuke Clutch for two. Kuroda would manage to fight back, as the two would continue to trade lariats, with Kuroda moving back Gannosuke before charging at Gannosuke, but Gannosuke would manage to move out of the way, and Kuroda would hit the unprotected turnbuckle once again. Kuroda would still fight his way back and hit Gannosuke with a Technan Buster DDT, but it would not be enough to put Gannosuke away. Gannosuke would get and try for a Fire Thunder, but Kuroda would manage to get out of it, but Gannosuke would end up delivering a Praying Powerbomb and then bringing stacks of chairs in the ring and deliver a Fire Thunder on Kuroda on the stack of chairs, and when Kuroda would kick out, Gannosuke would hit Kuroda with another Fire Thunder. Kuroda would still manage to kick out, but Gannosuke would immediately go after Kuroda's injured arm again with a arm bar and Kuroda would finally be forced to tap for the Mr. Gannosuke victory. Gannosuke had finally gained his revenge on Kuroda for retiring him the year before, and had now evened up FMW vs. Fuyuki for the ownership of FMW at one to one. With the help of Mr. Gannosuke, Mammoth Sasaki, and others of Fuyuki's group interfering on behalf of Kanemura, Kanemura would manage to put away Hayabusa with a Thunder Fire Powerbomb for the WEW World Title, and the two to one victory for Kodo Fuyuki and Tokyo Pop to officially more of FMW than Shoichi Arai. Kintaro Kanemura, Mr. Gannosuke, Chocoball Mukai, Shinjuku Shark, Senmu Yoshida, and Mirei would all do the TNR Dance together for their victory.

Mr. Gannosuke & Mammoth Sasaki would be given a shot once again for the WEW Tag Team Titles against GOEMON & Onryo on September 5, 2001 at once again the Sapporo Green Dome. GOEMON & Onryo would attack Senmu Yoshida right away in the match who was brought with by Mammoth. Gannosuke would attack GOEMON, but GOEMON would put Gannosuke in the Gannosuke Clutch right away for a two count. GOEMON would hit Gannosuke with a Tiger Driver, but then Gannosuke would follow up by flipping GOEMON on his back and tagging in Mammoth. Gannosuke would come back in and hit Onryo with a Riki Choshu Lariat, followed with the Scorpion Death Lock. Senmu Yoshida's daughter who would be Onryo's girlfriend would rush to the ring, but as a result, she would be countered by Mammoth and her father Senmu while GOEMON & Onryo would begin double teaming Gannosuke. Onryo would quickly try to make the save for his girlfriend by diving off the apron and hitting a flying hurricanrana on Mammoth, while Senmu would grab his daughter and take off. Gannosuke would be left with GOEMON, who would hit him with an Exploder, and tag in Onryo. Gannosuke would manage to over power Onryo, and hit Onryo with a Fire Thunder, but Onryo would manage to grab the referee's hand in time before the three count. Gannosuke would tag in Mammoth, who would try to go for the finish, but just like the last time the two teams fought, Onryo would manage to kick Mammoth's leg out from under him, and put him in the Onryo Clutch, but this time Mammoth would kick out. Onryo would try it again, but Mammoth would overpower Onryo and grab him by Mammoth's shoulder and drop him. Mammoth would then hit a Chokeslam on Onryo and manage to pin him to make Mr. Gannosuke & Mammoth Sasaki, the new WEW Tag Team Champions. For that bright shining moment, Fuyuki's group was back in power in FMW by holding the WEW World Title, the WEW Tag Team Titles, and the WEW 6 Man Tag Team Titles. It wouldn't last long though, as Hayabusa would manage to defeat Kintaro Kanemura in the main event of the show for the WEW World Title.

Mr. Gannosuke would defend the WEW 6 Man Tag Team Titles with Kodo Fuyuki & Kintaro Kanemura against Hayabusa, Tetsuhiro Kuroda, and GOEMON on September 9, 2001 at Korakuen Hall, but before the match, Senmu Yoshida would reward Kanemura the WEW World Title back from Hayabusa after Hayabusa had used a lowblow during the match, despite the fact that Kanemura had used an excessive amount of low blows during the same match. An excited Kanemura would begin hugging and jumping up and down with Mirei, until Gannosuke would shove Kanemura to the ground for getting to close to his girlfriend. Gannosuke and Hayabusa would start the match off with Hayabusa sending Gannosuke to the floor, and hitting a running tope con hilo on Gannosuke. A six man brawl would begin to occur as each wrestler would begin brawling around ringside with an opponent, Gannosuke fighting with of course, Hayabusa. The match would finally restore order, but it would quickly turn into Gannosuke, Kanemura, and Fuyuki triple teaming Kuroda during the match. Gannosuke would hit Kuroda with the Riki Choshu Lariat, and then place him in the Scorpion Death Lock. Hayabusa would come in to make the save, but when GOEMON would come in, and charge after Gannosuke, he would again get Gannosuke in the Gannosuke Clutch, with Gannosuke kicking out at the last moment. GOEMON would charge after Gannosuke, but just like that, would be picked up and hit with the Fire Thunder. Gannosuke, Fuyuki, and Kanemura would continue the triple team, this time on GOEMON, hitting a Super Powerbomb on GOEMON, but unable to pin him. Kanemura and Hayabusa would end up being tagged in, with Hayabusa hitting Kanemura with the H Edge, followed by a Swanton Bomb by GOEMON, and then followed with a Fire Bird Splash on Kanemura for the victory and the WEW 6 Man Tag Team Titles.

Mr. Gannosuke & Mammoth Sasaki would defend their WEW Tag Team Titles against Hayabusa & Tetsuhiro Kuroda on October 9, 2001 at Korakuen Hall, but Gannosuke would have to worry about something else going into his match, and Mirei would be found crying in the backstage by Tetsuhiro Kuroda, after hearing about Gannosuke being with another woman. Mirei would confront Gannosuke before the match, with Gannosuke denying allegations of being with another woman, when a woman by the name of MAKIKO would come out from the crowd to confront Mirei and tell her that she's been with Gannosuke, and that she was going to stay with Gannosuke, and for her to hit the road. Mirei and MAKIKO would begin to get in a shoving fight until Yoshida would force both of them to the back for the match to begin. Hayabusa would jump Gannosuke right away, and hit a flying tope con hilo right at the start of the match. Kuroda would also mock Gannosuke, by hitting his own version of the Riki Choshu Lariat, and then putting Gannosuke in the Scorpion Death Lock. Both Gannosuke and Mammoth would begin focusing on Hayabusa's knee, including putting Hayabusa in one legged crabs, as well as Gannosuke putting the Scorpion Death Lock on Hayabusa, and then followed by Mammoth putting a chair over Hayabusa's injured knee, and again putting him in a one legged crab. Hayabusa would manage to fight back on Gannosuke and would deliver an H Edge, followed by a H Thunder, and then a Fire Bird Splash on Gannosuke, Mammoth would come in and hit Hayabusa with the Rydeen Bomb on Hayabusa. Gannosuke would follow with a Fire Thunder on Hayabusa, and would continue working on Hayabusa's leg, before tagging in Mammoth. Mammoth would hit a Chokeslam on Hayabusa, but Kuroda would quickly make the save. Gannosuke would make sure to clear the ring of Kuroda, with Mammoth going for another Chokeslam, but when going down, Hayabusa would be able to roll up Mammoth for the victory, with Mr. Gannosuke losing his second title in one month. It was not a good day for Mr. Gannosuke, but the next Korakuen Hall event would not be horrible for Masashi Honda, and everyone involved in FMW.

Mr. Gannosuke would team up with Kintaro Kanemura & NOSAWA to take on Tetsuhiro Kuroda, GOEMON, and Yoshihito Sasaki on October 22, 2001 at Korakuen Hall, backstage before the match, Mirei would go up to Kuroda and begin hitting on him, but would get slapped by Kuroda for hitting on her while still being with Gannosuke. Kanemura would see this and jump Kuroda and walk away with Mirei. Gannosuke would come to the ring with Mirei, but Mirei would act very cold towards Gannosuke during the match. After brawling in the crowd with Kuroda and going back down to the ring, Mirei would stare at Gannosuke, and Gannosuke having to wrestle a match, would just hug Mirei, hoping to calm her down. Yoshihito Sasaki would attempt to German Supplex Kintaro Kanemura, but Kanemura would hit a low blow on Sasaki, and then hit a German Supplex of his own to pin Sasaki for the win. After the match, when Gannosuke & Mirei were leaving the ring, MAKIKO would rush to the ring and call back Mirei to the ring. Mirei would walk back to the ring, as Gannosuke would hold his down in a "oh crap" fashion as MAKIKO would begin telling Mirei that Gannosuke was his man and not hers. Gannosuke would come to the ring and tell Mirei that she was the one that he loved, and not her, making Mirei smile. MAKIKO would come back by telling Mirei that is the same he says to her and that had planned on meeting after the show to sleep together, getting Mirei upset at Gannosuke once again. Yoshihito Sasaki's father Masato Sasaki would come to the ring, and suggest that MAKIKO come with Masato Sasaki to prove that Gannosuke would not be with her during the evening, and would bring her back with him, as a tired Gannosuke would walk to the back, having a huge problem caused by two girls. But in the main event, a tragic occurrence would take place when Hayabusa, the long time best friend Masashi Honda would slip on the middle rope while attempting an Asai Moonsault during his match with Mammoth Sasaki. Hayabusa, not knowing that the injury was so severe would tell referee Marty Asano for the match to go, which would end up being a big mistake with Mammoth Sasaki moving his head around until finally Hayabusa told Marty Asano, that he still could not move. The entire FMW faction would rush to the ring, with Kintaro Kanemura getting Mammoth Sasaki out of the ring. Hayabusa would be transferred to a Tokyo Hospital, where he would soon catch an incredibly deadly germ that would go into his heart, causing Eiji Ezaki to become heavily medicated while having an incredibly high fever.

Mr. Gannosuke would return to Korakuen Hall on November 5, 2001 teaming with Mammoth Sasaki to face Onryo & Yoshihito Sasaki, with Gannosuke and Sasaki starting the match off brawling around ringside before fighting each other in the ring. Sasaki would focus on trying to put Gannosuke in the Canadian Backbreaker early, but Mammoth would make the save for Gannosuke. Gannosuke would end up being double teamed by Onryo and Sasaki with Onryo hitting a Onryo Dive to the outside on Gannosuke. Sasaki would manage to get Gannosuke in the Canadian Backbreaker, but again Mammoth would come and make the save for Gannosuke. Gannosuke would attempt the Fire Thunder, but Sasaki would manage to slip out, and would attempt again to get Gannosuke in the Canadian Backbreaker when Mammoth would come back in and clip Sasaki's knee. Gannosuke with the help of Mammoth would hit a Praying Powerbomb, and then finish off Sasaki with the Fire Thunder for the pinfall victory. After the main event, Kodo Fuyuki would announce a new wrestler to take Hayabusa's spot as the ace of the promotion, and to save FMW in Garuda, who would be patterned after the Darkside of Hayabusa. But when Fuyuki would call Garuda to the ring, Garuda would instantly attack Fuyuki with a dropkick off the top rope, followed by a 450 Fire Bird Splash on Fuyuki. With the ring clearing, Mr. Gannosuke would come to the ring to address the fans on Hayabusa. Gannosuke would state that despite the differences of Hayabusa that he has always had had with him, he gave everything he could for the fans, and FMW. Hayabusa was paralyzed and when he couldn't move in the ring, he still addressed the fans and told the fans to continue to support FMW, because even at his worst moment, he still thought about the promotion, and his fellow wrestlers. A loud "Gannosuke! Gannosuke!" chant would come from the crowd while giving his speech, and Gannosuke would stare at Kuroda before leaving the ring, now as a babyface once again.

Mr. Gannosuke would then head to the Yokohama Bunka Gym on November 23, 2001 for a match for the vacated WEW Tag Team Titles to team with Mammoth Sasaki against Biomonster DNA & the returning to FMW Dr. Luther, but before their match, a special match would be added to the show between Mirei against MAKIKO in a Evening Gown Match for Mr. Gannosuke. Mr. Gannosuke would join the announce team for Color Commentating during the match, as Mirei would jump MAKIKO and the two girls would begin rolling around the ring, trying to tear each others clothes off. Both girls would get up and begin slapping each other until MAKIKO would kiss Mirei and then knock her to the ground, and tear off her dress the victory for the MAKIKO victory. Gannosuke would quickly try to cover Mirei as Mirei would shamefully begin to cry and run off after losing her man. Gannosuke would end up walking back with Gannosuke's arm around MAKIKO's shoulder. The match would start right away in the crowd with Luther and Biomonster never making it to the ring as Gannosuke and Biomonster would brawl in the crowd, while Mammoth would do the same with Luther. Gannosuke and Biomonster would make it to the ring first, but Mammoth and Luther would soon follow. Gannosuke would put Biomonster in the Scorpion Death Lock, as Mammoth would choke slam Luther off the apron through a table. Mammoth would bring a piece of the table and hand it to Gannosuke who would smash it over Biomonster. Gannosuke and Luther would begin going at it, when Mammoth would bring two chairs in the ring, and hit Luther with the Mammoth Home Run, and when Luther would begin to daze around the ring, Mammoth would clear Biomonster with a chair shot, as Gannosuke would hook Luther with the Gannosuke Clutch for the victory, to win the WEW Tag Team Titles once again with Mammoth Sasaki. Afterwards, Gannosuke & Mammoth would decide to vacate the WEW Tag Team Titles, stating that the competition to win the titles was not high enough. Genichiro Tenryu & Kodo Fuyuki would defeat Tetsuhiro Kuroda & Garuda in the main event, afterwards Mr. Gannosuke & Mammoth Sasaki would come to the ring upset over Kodo Fuyuki abandoning FMW to join up with Tenryu's WAR team. Kanemura would come to the ring, with Fuyuki expecting his long time friend to side with him, but when Kanemura would go to face off against Gannosuke & Mammoth, he would turn around and begin attacking Fuyuki and clear the ring of him, as Gannosuke & Mammoth would clear the ring of WAR members Arashi and Kouki Kitahara. Tenryu would decide to step away and leave the ring, as the WAR team members would leave with Mr. Gannosuke declaring this the new FMW. Gannosuke, Kanemura, Mammoth, and a bloody Kuroda would join sides to fight for FMW against WAR.

Mr. Gannosuke would join together with his fellow FMW members of Kintaro Kanemura, Tetsuhiro Kuroda, Mammoth Sasaki to face off against WAR's Genichiro Tenryu, Kodo Fuyuki, Arashi, and Koki Kitahara on December 9, 2001 at Korakuen Hall in a FMW vs. WAR match. Gannosuke and Kithara would begin going at it right away during the match, and Gannosuke would deliver a lowblow to Kitahara to gain the advantage and would begin stomping away at Kitahara until Kitahara would deliver a lowblow to Gannosuke himself and tag in Tenryu. Gannosuke would not back down and go right after Tenryu, swatting him into the corner to a loud ovation from the crowd. Kuroda would come in and clothesline Tenryu, followed by Mammoth clotheslining Tenryu as well, and knocking him to the mat. When Tenryu would begin to get up, Gannosuke would wind up and hit Tenryu with the Riki Choshu Lariat and then place him the Scorpion Death Lock. Kitahara would come in and lay a stiff kick to Gannosuke's face, allowing Tenryu to take advantage and bring Gannosuke out of the ring, where Tenryu would begin smashing Gannosuke with chairs before bringing him back in, and double teaming Gannosuke with Arashi. Tenryu would begin slapping Gannosuke's chest beat red, and then kicking him in the face until Gannosuke would do, in a way Gannosuke only knows how, and would lowblow Tenryu. Tenryu would fall down to his corner and tag in Fuyuki, who would hit his Charging Lariat immediately on Gannosuke, with Kanemura making the save. Fuyuki would tag Kitahara back in, who would take off the turnbuckle pad and smash Gannosuke's head into the unprotected turnbuckle. Kitahara would pin Gannosuke, but would fail to put him away, as Fuyuki would come back in. Fuyuki would attempt to send Gannosuke in the turnbuckle, but Gannosuke would manage to reverse Fuyuki into it, and then follow up with an elbow to Fuyuki's face, and a DDT, and finally Gannosuke would manage to make the tag to Kuroda. Kuroda would clean house, with help from Mammoth and Kanemura, with Kanemura hitting a hurricanrana on Fuyuki, followed by a flying dropkick by Gannosuke, and then a Praying Powerbomb on Fuyuki. The WAR team would come in to help Fuyuki, and help Fuyuki hit a Super Powerbomb off the top rope, and when Fuyuki would begin his war cry to finish the match, and charge Gannosuke with his Charging Lariat, Gannosuke would catch him, and turn it into the Gannosuke Clutch for his first career pinfall victory over Fuyuki, and the FMW win over WAR, with Gannosuke being the star of the match.

Mr. Gannosuke & Tetsuhiro Kuroda would be put together as a team by Kodo Fuyuki for a Tournament for the vacant WEW Tag Team Titles, with Kintaro Kanemura & Mammoth Sasaki teaming together as well in a eight team, one night tournament for the vacant titles on December 21, 2001 at Korakuen Hall. Mr. Gannosuke & Tetsuhiro Kuroda would take on GOEMON & Onryo in the First Round. Kuroda would wrestle almost the entire match against GOEMON & Onryo, with Gannosuke only coming in and charging GOEMON with a Riki Choshu Lariat, but getting caught and hit with an Exploder by GOEMON. Kuroda would end up finishing the match after hitting Onryo with a Lariat and then followed with a Technan Buster DDT to score the pin and advance in the next round. Gannosuke & Kuroda would face off against Sabu & Yoshihito Sasaki in the next round, with Gannosuke charging Sasaki, but being caught by Sasaki and with a German Supplex, followed with a Canadian Backbreaker and would throw Gannosuke to the ground once Sasaki would see Kuroda charging at him, and hit the spear on Kuroda. Sabu & Sasaki would then hit a double spear on Gannosuke sending him to the floor, with Sabu setting Gannosuke on a table outside the ring. Sabu would dive over the top rope with a leg drop, but Gannosuke would manage to move out of the way as Sabu would leg drop the table instead. Sasaki would bring Gannosuke in the ring, and attempt putting Gannosuke in the Canadian Backbreaker once again, with Gannosuke slipping out, and then hitting Sasaki with a clothesline, and then finishing Sasaki off with a Fire Thunder to move on to the finals of the Tournament. Mr. Gannosuke & Tetsuhiro Kuroda would face their FMW counterparts Kintaro Kanemura & Mammoth Sasaki in the finals of the Tournament. Kanemura would start the match already busted open from an earlier match as Gannosuke would go up against his partner and friend Mammoth Sasaki right away during the match as the two would brawl around ringside before entering the ring with Gannosuke hitting Mammoth with the Riki Choshu Lariat, and then the Scorpion Death Lock. Kanemura would make the save for Mammoth and bring Gannosuke to the outside as Kuroda and Mammoth would begin fighting in the crowd. Kanemura would Powerbomb Gannosuke on a stack of chairs, and would then begin smashing Gannosuke's head against a table, busting Gannosuke open, as Mammoth would come back to the ringside area and choke slam Gannosuke off the apron of the ring, through the table. Kanemura would set the table inside the ring, and Mammoth would begin smashing Gannosuke's head over the table repeatedly, causing more blood to drip out, as Kanemura would tag in and begin attempting to choke Gannosuke out before smashing a piece of the table over Gannosuke's head, with Gannosuke out of nowhere clotheslining Kanemura and making the tag to Kuroda. Kuroda would face a double team of Kanemura and Mammoth before a blood gushing Gannosuke would climb the top rope and hit a flying dropkick on Mammoth. Gannosuke would begin attacking Mammoth when Kanemura would come back to help double team with Mammoth and would hit a Total Elimination on Gannosuke. Kanemura would hit Gannosuke with a lowblow and then grab a chair, but when swinging the chair, Gannosuke would hook Kanemura's leg and put him in the Gannosuke Clutch for a near victory. Gannosuke would execute revenge on Kanemura by delivering a lowblow to him and tagging in Kuroda. Gannosuke would help Kuroda deliver a DDT to Mammoth and would continue brawling with Kanemura on the outside as Kuroda would end up finishing Mammoth off with a lariat for the win, and the WEW Tag Team Championship for the former Team Kuroda partners. It would turn out to be not only Mr. Gannosuke's last great FMW match, but the last great match in FMW going into 2002.

Gannosuke would end 2001 hearing good news as on December 29, 2001, Eiji Ezaki would have successful open heart surgery to remove the germs that had got in his heart during his hospital stay, ending what possibly could have been extremely deadly for Masashi Honda long time friend.

Kodo Fuyuki with no friends or alliances after leaving WAR, and then disbanding from Genichiro Tenryu in All Japan would bring in foreigners from America to team with him to fight against FMW. Mr. Gannosuke would team with Tetsuhiro Kuroda & Mammoth Sasaki to face Balls Mahoney, The Sandman, and Vic Grimes on January 6, 2002 at Korakuen Hall. Gannosuke would go right at Vic Grimes to start the match, with several Riki Choshu lariats before knocking him to the mat, but when attempting to apply the Scorpion Death Lock, The Sandman would smack his cane over Gannosuke to bring the move. Grimes would hit Gannosuke with a Powerbomb, and the two would begin to brawl in the crowd. Grimes would attempt to suplex Gannosuke off the stage, but Gannosuke would manage to reverse it, and suplex Grimes off the stage onto the hardwood floor. The paring of Gannosuke against Grimes would end up costing Gannosuke though, as Grimes and Sandman would set Gannosuke onto a table outside the ring. Grimes would climb the top rope, and hit a Somersault Moonsault off the top turnbuckle on to the table setup outside. Gannosuke would manage to move out of the way to avoid being sent into the table by a 400 pound man, but Gannosuke would fail to to get his legs out of the way under the table in time, and a result, the 400 pound Vic Grimes would smash through the table with both of Gannosuke's legs still under it. One of Gannosuke's legs would be broken, and his other ankle would be broken as a result of the splash. This would leave Kuroda and Mammoth would be left in a handicap situation until Grimes would finally finish Mammoth with a Powerbomb on a chair for the victory. FMW wrestler would come out to help Mr. Gannosuke to the back after the match, and Gannosuke would be taken to the hospital to find out the injuries, and find out that he would be out of action for six months. Just one day after the five years of Mr. Gannosuke's return to FMW in 1997 at Korakuen Hall, and four years to the day Mr. Gannosuke defeated Masato Tanaka for the FMW Double Titles in 1998 at Korakuen Hall, Mr. Gannosuke would have his last FMW match inside Korakuen Hall.

Just like at the end of 2000, and beginning of 2001 when Hayabusa & Mr. Gannosuke were out of action together, which would cause extreme damage to FMW, this time, it was far worse. There was no signs for Hayabusa coming back, and Mr. Gannosuke not being able to walk, FMW was in trouble once again. This time Hayabusa & Gannosuke would both have to live in a Hospital.

Mr. Gannosuke would stay in good spirits while living in the Hospital, allowing FMW to tape him hitting on the nurse, and looking at porno. But many tragic events would take place with Mr. Gannosuke out of action in 2002. Due to the absence of Hayabusa & Gannosuke, and already 2 million dollars in debt, Shoichi Arai would declare FMW for bankruptcy on February 15, 2002, ending FMW after 12 and one third years. To make matters worse, Kodo Fuyuki who would start up his own promotion for the former FMW wrestlers to keep working would announce on April 9, 2002 that he was stricken with colon cancer, and that he would be force to retire immediately. Even more tragic news would take place when Shoichi Arai would be found dead after hanging himself by his tie on May 16, 2002 in a Tokyo Park. On top of all this, Mr. Gannosuke recovery would be slower than expected, as Gannosuke would still have trouble being able to walk months after the injury occurred. Many of the former FMW wrestlers would begin walking out of Fuyuki's new WEW promotion, and would all keep quiet about their future until July 1, 2002 when it would be announced that Hayabusa would announce the beginning of a new promotion in two days.
