Mr. Gannosuke would face off against Mammoth Sasaki in a Barbed wire Street Fight in their final battle on July 31, 2005 at the last ever show at the Tokyo Takenotsuka Battle Sphere. They would lock up and right away Mammoth would use the barbed wire to his advantage by sending Gannosuke into the barbed wire. Mammoth would throw Gannosuke repeatedly into the barbed wire, each time Gannosuke getting caught into it screaming. Mammoth would set up a stack of chairs and deliver a powerbomb sending Gannosuke right through both of them. A desperate bloody Gannosuke would go low and kick Mammoth repeatedly downstairs before delivering the Fire Thunder for a two count on Mammoth. Both Mammoth and Gannosuke would make it back to their feet and both would begin charging one another with lariats before Gannosuke would catch Mammoth and attempt to lock the Gannosuke Clutch, but Mammoth would once again be able to over power it and send Gannosuke flying. Mammoth would go for another lariat, but Gannosuke would manage to duck it and grab Mammoth and deliver a German Suplex. Mammoth would still get right back on his feet, but Gannosuke would just deliver a lariat to Mammoth for a two count. Gannosuke would go after Mammoth again with the lariat, this time nailing him so hard both would fall down as Gannosuke would land on top of him and be able to score the victory over Mammoth. Mammoth would announce afterwards that he along with Seiji Ikeda were leaving WMF to become full time freelancers although it would not take long for Mammoth to officially become a member of the Apache Army promotion as WMF's roster would continue to get thinner as Garuda was also as leaving the promotion.
Mr. Gannosuke would announce the next WMF show promoted by him would be on September 9, 2005 at the Tokyo Shin-Kiba 1st Ring as he would have a Mystery Partner against Soldier and Mineo Fujita going by the name MINEPYON. Gannosuke would end announcing his mystery partner as a man from his past as it would turn out to be Tarzan Goto. Gannosuke who had left Goto's group to rejoin FMW had remained friends with his former teacher and would team up with him for the first time since December 1996. Goto and Gannosuke would be way too much to handle for the much younger tag team as Goto would take care of Soldier, and Gannosuke would end up finishing MINEPYON off with the Fire Thunder for the win. Gannosuke and WMF would form a talent exchange with Tarzan Goto and his promotion as Gannosuke would work Goto's October 2, 2005 show beating Shimzu Nogahaku rather easily in their match.
Gannosuke would continue to work for Tarzan Goto as he waited and collected money to be able to promote another WMF show. Gannosuke would team up with Goto and Fushico Karasu whose gimmick is based off of Hayabusa to face the team of Hisakatsu Oya, Ricky Fuji, and Gosaku on October 23, 2005 with Goto getting the victory after a facebuster on Gosaku for the win.
Gannosuke would promote his next WMF show on December 25, 2005 at the building made to replace the old Takenotsuka Battle Sphere called the New Battle Sphere in Tokyo. Gannosuke's partner would be Garuda coming back for a freelance deal with the promotion he was once apart of to face the team of GOEMON and returning back to his real name Mineo Fujita as Gannosuke would hook GOEMON in the Gannosuke Clutch for the victory. The big news afterwards would be that Soldier would form a new heel group called The New Generation Army making up of all the younger wrestlers tired of the older wrestlers still hanging around in the promotion based off for younger wrestlers to excel. The group would consist of Soldier, Mineo Fujita, Kenji Sawaragi, and later Kenichi Kono.
The New Generation Army would challenge Mr. Gannosuke and GOEMON and another old timer for January 20, 2006 at the Tokyo Shin-Kiba 1st Ring. Gannosuke wouldn't pick an old timer as his partner though, instead he would counter someone just 17 years old in Katsuhiko Nakajima as GOEMON would end up getting the pinfall victory over Fujita with the Gannosuke Clutch.
The New Generation Army would challenge Gannosuke and GOEMON, this time would just be Soldier and Kenji Sawaragi in the match on February 5, 2006 at the Osaka Delfin Arena, and once again the old timers would prevail as GOEMON would deliver the Swanton Bomb on Sawaragi for the win. But after the match, Black Buffalo of Osaka Pro would hit the ring and attack Gannosuke and GOEMON and help out the New Generation Army. But a friend of both Gannosuke and GOEMON's would come to the rescue in Hisakatsu Oya who would help the clear the ring as a six man match would be made for the next WMF show.
Mr. Gannosuke through his connection with Tarzan Goto would get in contact with the Kings Road promotion that would be running at Korakuen Hall on February 28, 2006. It would be the first time Gannosuke would appear at Korakuen Hall since August 19, 2004. Gannosuke would team up with Ricky Fuji to take on the team of Mitsuya Nagai and Taichi Ishikari with Nagai getting the win for his team after hitting Ricky with the Michinoku Driver II for the win. It would be Gannosuke's only appearance for the short lived failed promotion.
After getting into Tokyo to get ready for the upcoming show on March 3rd, Gannosuke would get a call from his father that Gannosuke's mother Kyoko Honda had passed away at age 67 at 1:34 AM due to the rare disease of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. Gannosuke would decide to stay the night in Tokyo and work the upcoming show before going back to Nagasaki to attend his mothers wake and funeral. Gannosuke would team up with GOEMON and Hisakatsu Oya on March 3, 2006 to take on the team of Soldier, Mineo Fujita, and Black Buffalo at the Tokyo Shin-Kiba 1st Ring. Gannosuke would end up finally defeating the leader of the New Generation Army in Soldier by putting him away with the Fire Thunder. Gannosuke afterwards would announce that victory was dedicated to his mother.
Gannosuke and GOEMON would team up once again to take on Soldier and Gosaku Goshogawara who had formed a friendship with one another after a barbed wire street fight between the two. This match would also be a barbed wire street fight at the Tokyo Shin-Kiba 1st Ring on April 21, 2006. Gannosuke and GOEMON would both show that they still were able to handle the FMW environment of a Barbed wire Street Fight as well as weapons the likes of staple guns, barbed wire baseball bats and fluorescent light tubes. Gosaku Goshogawara would end up stapling Gannosuke's arm during the match, but Gannosuke would gain his revenge as he would manage to stable Gosaku's arm and shove his forehead into the barbed wire cutting open Gosaku. Gannosuke and Soldier would battle among each other, trying to send one another through a fluorescent light tube stick with Soldier delivering a bulldog to Gannosuke through the florescent light tube stick. Gannosuke would recover and place a fluorescent light tube in Gosaku's shirt and then break it by hitting it with a barbed wire baseball bat. Gannosuke would then deliver the lariat on Gosaku and manage to get the victory for his team.
Mr. Gannosuke would team up with Tarzan Goto once again for Goto's promoted show on May 5, 2006 at the Tokyo Shinjuku FACE to go up against Masato Tanaka and Gosaku Goshogawara in a Street Fight. It would be the first time since December 5, 2003 in the War Games match that Gannosuke and Tanaka would be going up against each other in the ring. Gannosuke and Tanaka would easily be the best ring work of the match, but Tanaka would end up screwing his already injured shoulder and would be unable to finish the match, leaving Goshogawara to have to fight for himself before getting by Goto's facebuster.
Mr. Gannosuke and GOEMON would once again battle the New Generation Army team of Soldier and Mineo Fujita on June 11, 2009 at the Tokyo Shin-Kiba 1st Ring. Gannosuke and Fujita would face off against one another with Gannosuke working on Fujita's elbow for the early parts of the match. Fujita would manage to fight back and attempt to go for the 450 Fire Bird Splash that Gannosuke would manage to move out of the way. Gannosuke and Fujita would end up brawling into the stands while GOEMON and Soldier would wrestle in the ring and Soldier would manage to be too much for GOEMON after delivering a BUU and then following that would with a lariat to score the victory for the New Generation Army. After the match, Gannosuke would grab the mic and state how Mineo Fujita had impressed him during the match and requested a match with Fujita for the next months show.
Mr. Gannosuke would face Mineo Fujita on July 1, 2006 at the Tokyo Shin-Kiba 1st Ring against Mineo Fujita in the main event. The match would be laid out like an old Hayabusa vs. Gannosuke match with Fujita using his quickness and highflying ability to overcome Gannosuke's power moves. Fujita would even use Hayabusa's 450 Fire Bird Splash but Gannosuke would manage to move out of the way. Gannosuke would follow that up with a Praying Powerbomb and a Fishermans supplex but would be unable to finish Fujita off. Gannosuke would then charge at Fujita with his Choshu Lariat but Fujita would manage to catch him and put in Gannosuke in his own Gannosuke Clutch for a two count. Gannosuke would counter by catching Fujita in his own attempt at a lariat by putting him in the Gannosuke Clutch for a two. Fighting back Fujita would take control and come back and this time deliver a Fire Bird 450 Splash on Gannosuke that would successfully hit for two. Fujita would miss a flying dropkick and Gannosuke would come back with a Praying Powerbomb, but as the referee was making the count, Fujita would clutch onto Gannosuke's arm for an armbar with Gannosuke having to get his foot to the rope to break it. Gannosuke and Fujita would then begin throwing forearms at one another with Gannosuke knocking Fujita down and delivering the Fire Thunder with Fujita managing to kick out. Gannosuke would follow that up by delivering another Fire Thunder, this time drilling Fujita's head viciously into the mat and Gannosuke would manage to get the win. Gannosuke would get on the mic and show much respect much towards Mineo Fujita and claiming that if he were to get up to heavyweight status then he could he become the 2nd stage of Hayabusa and the WMF ace instead of Gannosuke who would begin to phase himself down in WMF.
Mr. Gannosuke's first taste of the undercard in WMF in awhile would take place the 4th anniversary show on August 27, 2006 at the Tokyo Shin-Kiba 1st Ring as he would team up with 666 wrestler Shinobu against Gosaku and 666 wrestler Yuko Miyamoto who Gannosuke had trained. Miyamoto would attempt a handspring elbow at Gannosuke but Gannosuke would manage to catch Miyamoto and drop him straight on his head with Gannosuke finishing off Miyamoto with an Arm Arrangement Northern Lights Bomb for the win.
Mr. Gannosuke would return back in the main event picture for WMF on September 30, 2006 at the Tokyo Shin-Kiba 1st Ring as he would team up with Ricky Fuji and Gosaku against Soldier, Mineo Fujita, and Kamui. Gannosuke's job this match would be though to put over the otherside as he would roll up Soldier with a Gannosuke Clutch and Soldier would manage to counteract Gannosuke's move and put Gannosuke in the Gannosuke Clutch itself as Soldier would end up getting the pinfall victory over Mr. Gannosuke. Gannosuke would follow up the loss by taking on his former student in Yuko Miyamoto on October 15, 2006 at the Osaka Delfin Arena in the semi-main event as Gannosuke would end up hitting the Fire Thunder on Miyamoto to get the win.
Gannosuke and Mineo Fujita would team up against former New Japan wrestler Tatsutoshi Goto and Soldier on November 4, 2006 at the Tokyo Shin-Kiba 1st Ring. Gannosuke and Goto would go right at it with chops to one another with Goto trying to land a back supplex and Gannosuke countering with a lowblow to Goto. Goto and Gannosuke would end up fighting to the outside with Goto busting Gannosuke open during the fight while Soldier and Mineo Fujita would continue to wrestle in the ring with Fujita getting the pinfall victory over Soldier with the Fire Bird 450 Splash. Gannosuke would call back Goto in the ring with the brawl continuing between the two as a match would be setup for the next months show.
Gannosuke would get his shot at Tatsutoshi Goto in a singles match on December 9, 2006 but the Muga World star would end up delivering a Backdrop Supplex on Gannosuke for the win. Gannosuke would once again team up with Shinobu on December 17, 2006 in Toyohashi but the team of GOEMON and Mineo Fujita would end up defeating them as Fujita would the Fire Bird 450 Splash on Shinobu for the win.
Mr. Gannosuke would team up with Soldier in the Marvelous Future Tag Team Tournament on January 13, 2007 at the Tokyo Shin-Kiba 1st Ring in a first round match against the team of 666's Onryo and Yuko Miyamoto. Gannosuke and Onryo would go at it at first, fighting over Onryo's bamboo stick with Miyamoto helping Onryo pull the stick away from Gannosuke and begin whacking the stick across Gannosuke's shoulder multiple times. Onryo would then tag in to Miyamoto who would deliver a springboard that Gannosuke would catch and deliver a German Supplex to Miyamoto. Gannosuke would tag in to Soldier and Miyamoto would take control of the match delivering a spinning heel kick to Soldier, but when Miyamoto would go to the top rope to deliver a moonsault, Gannosuke would throw a chair at Miyamoto allowing Soldier to climb the top rope and deliver the BUU on Miyamoto to score the pinfall victory and move on to the second round of the Marvelous Future Tag Team Tournament. Soldier would grab the mic afterwards and proclaim that the mega team of him and Gannosuke could not be beat in this tournament, with Gannosuke grabbing the mic from Soldier and proclaiming to Soldier to not be so cocky or it will end up hurting them in the end.
Gannosuke would return to Korakuen Hall for the first time since February 28, 2006 when through connections with Tatsutoshi Goto he would tour with the Muga World promotion on January 28, 2007 against Buck Quartermine. Quartermine would spend most of the match overpowering Gannosuke, but as Quartermine was attempting to powerbomb Gannosuke, Gannosuke would reverse it into a Gannosuke Clutch and eventually get Quartermine in a Japanese Leg Clutch Hold for the win in Gannosuke's return to Korakuen Hall.
Gannosuke and Soldier would then face off against the team of Mineo Fujita and Kitten Kid on February 17, 2007 at the Tokyo Shin-Kiba 1st Ring the semi-finals of the Marvelous Future Tag Team Tournament and Gannosuke's warning of Soldier to not be so cocky about them automatically winning the tournament would not be listened to by Soldier as Soldier would be cocky the entire match, but as Soldier was taking his sweet time setting Kitten Kid in the BUU, out of nowhere Kitten Kid would manage to reverse it and nail Soldier with his own BUU for the upset win. Mr. Gannosuke would not say anything to Soldier after the match as Mineo Fujita and Kitten Kid would go on to win the tournament later in the show.
Mr. Gannosuke would reform his tag team with Soldier to take on former FMW wrestlers GOEMON and Hideki Hosaka on April 14, 2007 at the Tokyo Shin-Kiba 1st Ring. Gannosuke would end up finally snapping at Soldier for not listening to his words during the tag team tournament and turn on Soldier during the match. Gannosuke, Hosaka, and GOEMON would deliver a Super Powerbomb on Soldier before Kamui, Kengo Takai, Kankuro Hoshino, and Kenichi Kono would rush to the ring to help Soldier out from a three on one beating with the refereeing declaring the match a No Contest after getting so out of hand. Gannosuke would end up announcing that he was leaving WMF and would become a freelance wrestler instead. Soldier would challenge Gannosuke to a singles match but Gannosuke would reply that he did not have to wrestle Soldier as he was no longer obligated to wrestle for WMF. Gannosuke later would announce that as a freelance wrestler that he would wrestle for Emi Sakura's Ice Ribbon promotion.
Gannosuke would not be gone from WMF for long as he would end up being revealed as a Mystery Partner for GOEMON and Hideki Hosaka's team on May 19, 2007 at the Tokyo Shin-Kiba 1st Ring against Soldier, Mineo Fujita, and Kengo Takai. Soldier would end up being turned on once again as Mineo Fujita would out of nowhere throw a fireball at Soldier's face, and then climb the top rope and deliver a flying dropkick as Soldier setting up Gannosuke to pick up Soldier and nail him with the Fire Thunder for the win. Gannosuke would announce that he was forming an anti-WMF group called the "KHM" that would consist of Gannosuke, Mineo Fujita, GOEMON, Hideki Hosaka, Leatherface, and Yasu Urano to do battle against WMF. Gannosuke would also announce that he would be promoting a show under his own name on July 5, 2007.
The KHM Army would debut successfully on June 9, 2007 at the Tokyo Shin-Kiba 1st Ring as Gannosuke, Mineo Fujita, and Yasu Urano would face the WMF Army of Soldier, Kengo Takai, and Kamui with Soldier attacking Gannosuke right out the gate and spearing him and laying him with punches before Gannosuke's team mates would be able to break it up. The KHM Army would focus on the weak link of the WMF Army in Kamui as Gannosuke, Fujita, and Urano would give Kamui repeated lowblows and repeated headbutts to the groin before Fujita would deliver a KHM-Style Downburst which is a similar looking move as Gannosuke's Fire Thunder for the KHM Army's first main event win as a group.
A unique type of match would take place on June 30, 2007 at the Tokyo Shin-Kiba 1st Ring as Gannosuke would team up with GOEMON, Hideki Hosaka, Yasu Urano against Soldier, Ricky Fuji, Kamui, and Kankuro Hoshino in a match where the wrestlers would start off having to drink a large bottle of alcohol and would have to take a break from the match every 5 minutes and go back to the entrance and drink another bottle of alcohol. All the wrestlers would begin to stagger all around during the match with Ricky Fuji, GOEMON and Yasu Urano passing out early on. During one of the intermissions to drink another bottle of alcohol and head back to the ring, Gannosuke would grab his bottle and begin pouring it down Kamui's throat causing him to pass out. Gannosuke would then do the same thing to Soldier in the ring before it would just be Gannosuke and Hideki Hosaka against Kankuro Hoshino left standing with a drunk Hosaka nailing a lariat on the wobbly Hoshino to get the victory for the KHM Army.
Mr. Gannosuke's first promoted show under his own name would place on July 5, 2007 at the Tokyo Shin-Kiba 1st Ring. Gannosuke would team up with fellow KHM friend GOEMON to take on Dick Togo and Apache Army's GENTARO. It would be the first time since Gannosuke and Kanemura's friendship had ended that Gannosuke had wrestled against an Apache Army wrestler. The show would end up being a success as Gannosuke and GOEMON would end up losing after Dick Togo would snatch on the Crossface to GOEMON and making him tap for the win. Another Gannosuke promoted show would be announced for November 29, 2007.
Gannosuke and GOEMON would again team up on July 21, 2007 at the Tokyo Shin-Kiba 1st Ring against Soldier and Kitten Kid with Gannosuke attempting unmask Kitten Kid and then with GOEMON holding onto Kitten Kid's tail, Gannosuke would charge right into it. Gannosuke would end up charging at Kitten Kid with Kitten moving out of the way and Gannosuke charging into the referee knocking him out. Gannosuke would deliver a lariat to the Kitten Kid and then nail a Fire Thunder on him with no referee to make the count. Allowing time for the referee to get to his feet, Gannosuke would continue to beat on the Kitten Kid and then as Gannosuke would attempt a Praying Powerbomb he would be rolled up with a sunset flip by the Kitten Kid who would score the huge upset victory over Mr. Gannosuke. Gannosuke would rush right at Kitten Kid and begin stomping at him and then grab some scissors and cut Kitten Kid's tail off causing Kitten Kid to scream in pain to setup a singles match between the two.
Gannosuke would take on the Kitten Kid on August 25, 2007 at the Tokyo Shin-Kiba 1st Ring. Gannosuke would setup Kitten Kid right away by bringing a cheese stick to the ring and allowing Kitten Kid to sniff it and then dropping it down onto the ring. Kitten Kid would lower himself to eat the stick and Gannosuke would take the opportunity to begin stomping away at him. The referee would once again end up getting knocked out and this would allow one of the Ice Ribbon girl wrestler to enter the ring and deliver a Shining Wizard on the Kitten Kid. Gannosuke would wait for the referee to get up once and again, but this time he would put Kitten Kid in the Nirvana Strangle with the Kitten Kid tapping out. Gannosuke would then offer Kitten Kid back his tail if he were to join the KHM Army with the Kitten Kid accepting and getting his tail put back on him in return.
The newest member of the KHM Army in Kitten Kid would team up with Mr. Gannosuke and Mineo Fujita against the WMF Army of Soldier, Yuko Miyamoto, and Kamui on September 29, 2007 at the Tokyo Shin-Kiba 1st Ring. Mineo Fujita would be picking up Yuko Miyamoto for the KHM Style Downburst when Kitten Kid would climb the top rope and dropkick Fujita turning on the KHM Army. Kitten Kid would clear the ring of Gannosuke as Miyamoto and Kamui would help Soldier powerbomb Fujita and then hit the Styles Clash on him to get the win over Fujita for the WMF Army win.
The KHM Army team of Mr. Gannosuke, Mineo Fujita, Hideki Hosaka, and Leatherface would team up against Soldier, Kamui, SYU, and Kankuro Hoshino in an Elimination match on October 26, 2007 at the Tokyo Shin-Kiba 1st Ring. The KHM Army had broken into Kitten Kid's locker and stole the Kitten Kid's outfit and taken pictures of Gannosuke holding a stake with the Kitten Kid head on it causing Kitten Kid to wrestle in the match as his human persona SYU. Mineo Fujita would come to the ring with Kitten Kid's ear on it in mocking fashion. Gannosuke would end up eliminating SYU with the Fire Thunder. Gannosuke would be eliminated right after though after Kamui would send him over the top rope and eliminate him. Mineo Fujita being the last man for the KHM Army against Soldier as Gannosuke would nail Soldier in the back as he was running the ropes and Fujita would end up applying a Reverse Gannosuke Clutch for the KHM win.
The KHM Army vs. WMF Army feud would continue on November 24, 2007 at the Tokyo Shin-Kiba 1st Ring in Singles Elimination Matches between Gannosuke, Fujita, Hideki Hosaka, and Leatherface against Soldier, SYU, Kamui, and Kankuro Hoshino. After a bloody SYU would eliminate Hideki Hosaka it would lead to a fresh Mr. Gannosuke coming out as the last two members left for their factions as Gannosuke would continue to beat on SYU. SYU would end up fighting back and delivering a Tornado DDT on Gannosuke, but Gannosuke would end up being too much for SYU as he would deliver a Praying Powerbomb and after SYU would kick out, Gannosuke would hit the Fire Thunder for the pinfall victory for KHM.
Mr. Gannosuke would promote his second show under his own name on November 29, 2007 at the Tokyo Shin-Kiba 1st Ring. The big name announcement for the show would be that the Apache Army's Mammoth Sasaki would be working the show. Mammoth Sasaki would be teaming up with Yuko Miyamoto to take on Mr. Gannosuke and Mineo Fujita in the main event in what would be Mammoth's first match against Gannosuke since July 31, 2005 when Mammoth announced that he was leaving WMF for the Apache Army. Gannosuke and Mammoth would start off the match by feeling each other before getting forearming one another until Gannosuke would slap Mammoth in the face. Mammoth would return the slap and the two would begin slapping each other in the face until the more powerful Mammoth would slap Gannosuke so hard he'd fall to his knees. The two would begin trading clotheslines with one another until Mammoth would pick Gannosuke and deliver a powerslam but not get much height on it sending Gannosuke's head into the mat hard. Mammoth would pick up Gannosuke by the throat and attempt to chokeslam Gannosuke, but Gannosuke would manage to escape it and attempt at a Gannosuke Clutch that Mammoth would overpower and send Gannosuke flying across the ring. Mammoth would charge at a lariat that Gannosuke would duck and deliver a German Supplex to Mammoth. Gannosuke would only get a two count and once Gannosuke would charge at Mammoth he would caught and sent down to the mat. Mammoth would then deliver an Awesome Bomb to Gannosuke for two when Fujita would make the save. Miyamoto would come in the ring and attempt a handspring elbow at Gannosuke but would get caught and Gannosuke would end up just throwing Miyamoto across the ring landing on his head. Miyamoto would make it to his feet first and deliver a spinning heel kick and then follow up with a moonsault that Gannosuke would get his knees up to. Gannosuke would deliver the Praying Powerbomb to Miyamoto and then the lariat for two. Gannosuke would then nail the Fire Thunder for the three count and the win. Gannosuke and Mammoth would shake hands and hug after the match.
The KHM Army of Mr. Gannosuke, Mineo Fujita, and Yasu Urano would team up on December 29, 2007 at the Tokyo Shin-Kiba 1st Ring to take on the WMF Army of Soldier, Kamui, and Kitten Kid who had gotten back his outfit to return to his cat persona. A brawl between the groups would see Gannosuke and Soldier fight into the stands with Soldier sending Gannosuke into the wall. When all the wrestlers would make it back in the ring. Gannosuke and Kitten Kid would begin to go at it with Kitten trying to knock Gannosuke off his feet, but once running to ropes to get some steam, he would be kicked in the back by Urano. Gannosuke would later then go after Kamui by untying his mask but instead of just ripping it off, he would just turn it around so that Kamui could not see Gannosuke's attack. Gannosuke would even mock Kamui by calling for a Brainbuster but instead would deliver a back supplex to Kamui before tagging in to Fujita. Gannosuke would get tagged back in but as soon as he would get tagged in he would get speared by Soldier. Soldier would then follow up by delivering a jawbreaker and then a lariat to Gannosuke. Soldier would hit Gannosuke with the BUU and after only getting a two count, tag in Kamui who would deliver a dropkick to Gannosuke sending him flying back into his corner to make the tag once again to Fujita. Gannosuke would get tagged back in and with Fujita and Urano the three would deliver a Super Powerbomb to Kamui with Soldier making the save. Gannosuke then would nail the Praying Powerbomb for two on Kamui. Gannosuke would then setup for Fujita to deliver the Swanton Bomb but again Kamui would manage to kick out. Fujita would deliver a hurricanrana to Kamui but Kamui would manage to botch the reversal causing Fujita to make the pinfall attempt but with Kamui then gaining back his composure and turning into a reverse Jackknife rollup for the WMF Army win.
Mr. Gannosuke would then appear for Ice Ribbon's big Future Star Volume 5 show on January 5, 2008 at the Tokyo Shin-Kiba 1st Ring. Gannosuke would open up the show with Emi Sakura as the two would sing and dance together to open the show. Gannosuke would team up with Chon-Shiryu to face the Battlarts team of Munenori Sawa and Keita Yano with Gannosuke hitting the Fire Thunder on Yano for the win.
The KHM Army would open up 2008 together on January 14, 2008 at the Osaka World Hall with Gannosuke teaming with Hideki Hosaka and Leatherface against the WMF Army of Soldier, Kengo Takai, and Kamui with the WMF getting the win after Kamui would hit the Firebird Splash on Leatherface for the win.
The KHM Army would schedule a match between themselves to wrestle in the opening match at the Tokyo Shin-Kiba 1st Ring on February 17, 2008. Gannosuke would team up with Yasu Urano against Hideki Hosaka and Mineo Fujita with the match going to a twenty minute limit draw. After the match, Gannosuke would announce that the KHM Army was disbanding and ending their war with the WMF Army. Gannosuke announced that he and Hideki Hosaka would be leaving WMF while Mineo Fujita and Yasu Urano would continue to wrestle for the promotion. The real reason that Gannosuke had decided to end the group was that he had decided to end his WMF promotion in August and wanted to have the promotion be focused on the younger talent like it was originally designed to in 2002. Gannosuke would keep a partnership with Mineo Fujita outside of WMF as he would team up wit Fujita on February 23, 2008 to take on Ultimo Dragon and Takeshi Minamino for Muga World promotion that had now become the Dradition promotion at the Osaka Prefectural Gym # 2 with Dragon getting the pinfall over Fujita with the Asai DDT. Through his connections with the promotion, Gannosuke would be able to land Mineo Fujita spot for the Dradition promotion.
Another couple of connections were about to happen in Gannosuke's favor as Kintaro Kanemura who had blocked Gannosuke out from working other promotions due to Kanemura's ties with the other promoters due to the heat between the two former friends since 2004 would end up being expelled from his own Apache Army promotion after getting drunk and rubbing a female who was working for the Big Japan newsletter through her pants and talking dirty to her at a Big Japan show on January 20, 2008 in Chiba. The news would come out one month later on February 19, 2008 and Kanemura would lose all his bookings and his own promotion as a result of his drunken mistake.
Mr. Gannosuke would run his own promoted show once again on May 1, 2008 at the Tokyo Shin-Kiba 1st Ring as he would team up with former KHM partner Yasu Urano to team up against two Apache Army wrestlers in Mammoth Sasaki and Takashi Sasaki. The Apache Army team would end up getting the win after Mammoth would nail Urano with the 29 Years Old for the win. Gannosuke then get on the mic and despite the recent expelling of Kanemura to give Gannosuke more bookings that he would not have had otherwise, the pain his body had gone through the 17 years of the wrestling and hardcore style had become too much for Gannosuke to take and he would announce that he would be retiring from pro-wrestling at the end of 2008.
Mr. Gannosuke would wrestle his first match since announcing his planned retirement on May 11, 2008 at the Tokyo Shinjuku FACE for the Yutaka Yoshie promoted show by teaming up with Dradition wrestler Hiro Saito to take on Bear Fukuda and Takeshi Minamino with Gannosuke rolling up Fukuda with the Gannosuke Clutch for the win.
Mr. Gannosuke would then return to Korakuen Hall for the first since January 28, 2007 on June 5, 2008 for the Dradition promotion as he would team up with Mineo Fujita to take on Tatsumi Fujinami and Ultimo Dragon. Although Gannosuke's favorite wrestler was Riki Choshu growing up, Fujinami was a close second as it was a huge thrill to face one of his idols growing up, but it would Ultimo Dragon that would end up getting the win after getting Fujita in a Japanese Clutch Hold for the win. Gannosuke would challenge Tatsumi Fujinami to a singles match later in the year after the match.
With Kintaro Kanemura being expelled from the Apache Army promotion and Tetsuhiro Kuroda being put in charge of the promotion, a deal between the Apache Army and WMF would take place with Mammoth Sasaki returning to WMF and Mr. Gannosuke being booked for the Apache Army shows.
