Tomorrow on November 20th will mark the 17th Anniversary of this site. It remains the longest active English website for Japanese Pro-Wrestling. I really do not know how much longer I will be able to continue the site. I do hope this site makes it to 18 at the very least. Running this website is something I still love to do but the product is not something I love (and I have been watching every FREEDOMS show since the beginning to give it a shot). Stuart's Puroresu Fan site closing down last year also kind of showed that even with a popular product that updating a site for years and years will result in burn out even with someone that has a passion for it. It is why I always just update this news page once a month or so to avoid that type of burn out. You have to really love what you are covering to do something this long and I hope as the FMW wrestlers that I loved get older and with Kanemura retiring next year that I can still love what I am doing to keep this site at a high level of quality that is acceptable for my standards.

No results have been posted for the Super Battle FMW show on April 23, 2015. I saw pictures of the show and it was certainly under 100 fans. As the first tour of Super Battle FMW comes to a close there seems to be a few answers to the questions that were had by people. This promotion is closer to Super FMW than FMW. It is very Onita's promotion mixed with W1 guys and the indy sleazy masked horror wrestlers like Leatherface and Freddy Krueger that really were more W*ING than FMW but they are used because they can have random cheap wrestlers portray gimmicks that were once used in FMW. The first show announced 1200 fans with around 200-300 fans in the building although the original FMW use to announce 1200 fans for a poor showing for a house show when they only had around 500-800 fans attend a show. My main issue with the promotion already is the inconstancies that are not a good long term sign. The poster for every Super Battle FMW show lists names like Atsushi Onita, Hayabusa, Mr. Gannosuke, Tetsuhiro Kuroda, Kintaro Kanemura, Flying Kid Ichihara, and Mammoth Sasaki on the show. Mammoth Sasaki and Hayabusa did not do any house shows this time around but will be appearing at the Tokyo Shinjuku FACE show. Tetsuhiro Kuroda is suppose to appear on the May shows. Flying Kid Ichihara after being announced as being a part of the ownership of the promotion has not been heard of. Mr. Gannosuke and I am going to guess Kintaro Kanemura falls in this as well has no idea why his name was even on the poster as he has not heard anything about competing for the promotion yet. Tomohiko Hashimoto is randomly listed as one of the wrestlers on the roster on the web page even though there has been no mention of him competing on the shows. Add that with the lineup switches the days of the show and so few fans attending the second show in Sendai that Onita has to bring up the lack of fans in a promo, and the third show in Fukushima had so few fans that the promotion is already acting like that show never existed that this could not be the start the promotion wanted. But I am guessing that sponsors promoted those shows and the Tokyo Shinjuku FACE will be the show that will make or lose money depending on the shows success so it does deserve more than a week to get its act together but this first week was not a good first impression for a small promotion getting media attention because of the name its using.
Atsushi Onita promoted his own show following the Super Battle FMW tour as he ran at the Fukushima Iwaki Shipping Gym on April 25, 2015. No results have been released for this show either. But I was able to find that Atsushi Onita, The Winger, and Hideki Hosaka defeated Ichiro Yaguchi, Onryo, and Kenji Fukimoto when Onita pinned Onryo with a Thunder Fire Powerbomb in the main event. Mr. Gannosuke teamed with Ricky Fuji as he faced off against Tetsuhiro Kuroda for the first time since his retirement match on December 27, 2008 who teamed along with Guts World's Daisuke with Kuroda and Daisuke getting the win when Kuroda used the Samson Clutch on Ricky to get the win in a match that went over 19 minutes.

Onita would then turn on the exploding barbed wire bat and smash it across Takayama to get the pinfall victory at 14 minutes, 59 seconds to win the Super Fireworks Championship which is his first singles title victory since winning the FMW Brass Knuckles Heavyweight Title back on May 4, 1995 a day before his original retirement in FMW.
